The Roosters have locked up the services of arguably the game’s best playmaker in Blues and Kangaroos No.6 Luke Keary on a three-year contract extension.
The Roosters are thrilled to announce that Luke Keary has recommitted to the Club for a further three years, keeping him at the Tricolours until at least the end of 2024,” the club said in a statement.
“From the top down, there’s a really good group of people involved at the Roosters, and I’m excited to have my long-term future locked in here,” Keary said.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson was also pleased to have Keary extend his time at the club.
“Luke is a leader and a student of the game who brings energy to everything he does. He’s also a good person, so it’s great news that he will continue to play his important role here at the Roosters in the coming years,” Robinson said.
The 28-year-old has scored 33 tries in 148 NRL games for the Rabbitohs and Roosters since his debut in 2013.
Keary played two Tests for the Kangaroos in 2018 and is expected to make his NSW Blues debut at the end of the 2020 season.
The dynamic playmaker has won three premierships to date for the Rabbitohs in 2014 and the Roosters in 2018 and 2019 and is aiming for a three-peat with the Tri-colours this season.
Keary is currently out injured with a broken rib, but is expected back in Round 17.
**luv how they conveniently fail to mention how much the upgrade is worth hahahahahahaha**
