Have not posted in a while so thought i would give an update - although i see POM has provided most the goods.

Past few days JAC pursuit has really stepped up. JAC has all but agreed to sign with the Tigers but there are still a few obstacles. Mainly to do with the Melbourne side of the deal. Melbourne will release him at the end of the year but are in rush to release without a replacement and due to the uncertainty around their cap in the C.Smith/B.Smith/Grant situation as that will dictate how much cap they will have. They asked for Talau amongst other things but that was shut down quickly. A swap isn't necessarily a requirement from Melbourne, but they do want a replacement in some form (free agent or player released from another club) before they formally release JAC. Although if JAC was a free agent, it would essentially be done. Dogs interest is over exaggerated - they're focused on the halves and 9.
Reynolds warming up to the idea of going over to England to pro-long his career. Leeds and Wigan mentioned but St Helens also interested. Unfortunately, player movement is slow over there due to Covid.

Other clubs news -

Drinkwater has told the Cowboys that he wants to play in the halves. He is likely to be the one on the move this season with the Cowboys preferring a Morgan-Clifford halves pairing with Val at fullback. Cowboys want to keep him but will be difficult fitting 3 players into 2 positions

Saab has been granted a release in principle (Dragons looking for a young forward in return) - Discussions are ongoing with the Tigers, and it is NOT dependent on the Addo-Carr deal. Tigers are after both, however a couple of players need to be moved on for this to happen.

Broncos told Staggs they will not release him, he's accepted that. Broncos still shopping Milford. Seibold will be gone at the end of the season, decision was made a couple weeks ago but will hold off until the end of the season at this stage.

Sharks shopping Moylan and willing to pay 200k - Dragons potential suitors if they can offload Norman and sort out their coach.

Absolutely 100000% no on Moylan. He is absolutely cooked.

Big yes to Drinkwater. With Drink’s speed and creativity and some pace on the wings we’re a completely different team.

I’m 50/50 on Saab, thought he looked bog average in his games this year. With his size and speed obviously has some upside.

Scenario if J Rey leaves is we can offer Jac a car as part of the marquee player allowance. Also if we can pick up a subsidised player such as Bunty it won't hurt as much paying some of a players contract elsewhere. I think Mbye would look good in the Broncos number 6 personally.

I’ve noticed William Kei training with our first grade guys in the gym a few times on Instagram, must mean the club rates him because I don’t see many of the other young guys doing gym work with them. Maybe a development contract for him next season or more

As I stated over a month ago, that the Wests Tigers were favourites to sign Josh Addo-Carr I’m now being told that the deal is practically done and should be finalised over the next few weeks!

Christian Welch looks likely to remain at Melbourne Storm following this season, however there is strong interest from various Sydney clubs!

There’s also ongoing discussions with Super League clubs and the Wests Tigers in order to send Josh Reynolds to England...... a potential Gareth Widdop for Josh Reynolds trade is being discussed but no further actions so far - Jackson Hastings too!

I’m hearing Albert Hopaote looks set to join the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2021 season, definitely a young gun to keep your eyes on!

Esan Marsters is being shopped around aggressively with the North Queensland Cowboys desperate to get him off the books - a few potential suitors with the Dragons, Warriors, Bulldogs and Gold Coast Titans all sharing slight levels of interest

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are favourites to acquire Brandon Smith for the 2021 season..... however the Wests Tigers also share a strong interest in Smith if Harry Grant returns to Melbourne

In fairness to the bloke, he seems to have a decent track record and did state a while ago we were favourites for JAC before anyone even reported our interested

If we can nab JAC and Brandon Smith from Melbourne for next season we’re a top 8 side for sure imo

I actually think Brandon Smith is a pretty average hooker, but an absolutely elite 13.
