Telegraph reporting Dogs have pulled out of trying to sign JAC due to the number of outside backs they have and also the big $$ signing of Cotric, leaving Tigers the only team interested

Really that should mean we don’t have to pay crazy overs. He’s the one pushing for a move to Sydney and we are almost his only choice right now. Give him $500k a season

Paying overs for a top flight SOO and Aust rep sounds like a sensible move. Even more so when he will bring fans via the turnstiles, Also, little girls and boys wanting to be just like JAC and play for the WTs. Great move to bring him back.

Sign some good halves or a fullback and move Doueihi to 5/8 please and thank you

I reckon Doueihi can do the job at fullback. He is safe under the high ball. His kick returns are improving out of sight and he can ball play in that role. He is also a threat when we are in the attacking zone.

I think he will make a better fullback than JAC. We need a left winger though and JAC would clearly do the job there. Nofo, JAC and AD look like a pretty good back 3.

I like Doueihi at the back he was fantastic last night but if we can sign a good fullback and move Doueihi to halves to strengthen our team overall we have to do it. We can’t afford another year with bum halves

I still don't see Doueihi as a half, he is an out and out centre, the try he scored last night was the perfect example.

Yeah he’s not gonna be cheap, but there’s no way in hell we have to pay him straight up fullback money

We will find a way to stuff it up

Poor bugger will probably stay in Melbourne.

JAC will be a good signing, but far from a game changer.

Wingers rarely win you games, a winger by them self will make very little difference.

Agreed, but his status and professionalism will rub off on the young players. The young guys will watch in the dressing sheds as he prepares himself. Being a hard trainer, there will be no short cuts. This is very important for our young players.

Finally, having genuine pace hopefully on both wings will revert our playing style to the open attacking style we are known for in RL.

Who are these attacking players to create space for those speedy wingers?

Luciano creates space. Talau might slot into the left centre spot. AD is starting to look very good.

AD is a centre, Luciano is a second rower, both are good players, LL is a great player but we really need to find a half from somewhere.

To be fair our wingers are scoring a pretty decent amount. Nofa 13 Talau 5 tries in 9 games.

Really?

I thought our forwards need to provide the platform for the halves to operate?

But in any case, we have Brooks, Madden, Momerovski, Talau, Kei, Kepaoa who are all very capable and. we will read more about. Mbye can do it as well when he wants it. I am sure more buys are on the way. Doueihi from the back is a huge part of our attack.

and 4 weeks ago everyone was happy with our forwards? We need to do much more than sign 2 wingers. We need at least a quality half and fullback in the backs

Agree with some others and I've said for a while - Doueihi righr now is a centre, but he could become a good fullback. His ball-playing is getting better but still has some ways to go. The only real issue at the moment is the lack of speed but that's likely an injury issue. Give him an offseason to work on both and he'll be a fine FB.

1. Doueihi
2. Nofoaluma
3. Leilua
4. Talau
5. Addo-Carr

Is perfectly fine. It's competitive with most top 8 backlines.

The halves are the issue. The pack is young and improving, but desperately need some halves which can lead them around the pitch. For as long as we're playing Brooks in the halves we're going nowhere. Widdop, Foran, Hastings even Blake Green, just someone different who can actually do what a half is meant to do.

Bevan French has knocked bad an extension from Wigan, wanting a return to the NRL, which opens up a move for Josh Reynolds to take his spot according to the telegraph. Wigan will chase him according to them

Oh god please. PLEEEEEEEEEAAAASE!

An extra $700k in the cap would certainly make life easier

No way a SL club pays Reynolds $700k

They dont have to, they could offer him a long term deal for less and secure his future. Normally when guys go to England you don’t have to pay for them right?

Of course you do. Reynolds has a contract and he is unfortunately entitled to every cent of it

Not if he asks for a release. Most of the time guys go to England that seems to be how it works, you don’t hear of NRL clubs paying ESL clubs money that comes out of their salary cap.

Hes 30
Hes gonna get $800k next year with us...he cant get anywhere near that in ESL,so unless we pay a hefty subsidy he doesnt need to go anywhere and hope he may pick up another gig somewhere in 2022 (like Benji has done)
All the dice are in his favor..and same for Mbye who is younger and has an extra year with us@#@%$#!!!

Reynolds is taking a 3 year deal with Wigan due to Madge’s contacts there. We won’t be paying a cent Grub will get a long term deal and more money than he will make here over the same period. He will kill it there and good luck to him.

Matulino retirement and Geub moving to the ESL are massive for us in rebuilding this roster. It’s bottom of the table all day.

This just guesswork or is there actually any Intel to suggest this could happen?

That’s the word at the pub tonight fair few people know him well. Likeable lad I’m sure it’s a good move.

He didn't score that try from fullback, he and Mbye had switched at that point and he was playing centre, he ran a traditional centre line while playing centre.
