Disappointing, sure, but the guy bled the club. Took a paycut to help the club out of a cap mess. Benji turned up on TV while still contracted to us not only wearing another teams jersey, another codes jersey.

You will not have to wait that long Bellamy will move on and do not think that Smiths leaving will not have an effect there ...I predict there is going to be a very large void in that club when he goes which will never be filled on or off the paddock !

Any coach with half a brain would have by now, I am seriously questioning Madge now

If the only thing that happens this year is seeing the end of Benji nothing will change in regard to our place in the comp unless Brooks suddenly finds whatever it is he needs to become the player we are all sick of waiting for.
The real issue is the volume of cap space taken up by three players who are our highest earners and offer very little. Can't big good for morale and is the most skewed cap situation in the competitiion.

Benji needs to go but our problems run much deeper. Yes we have a bunch of money tied up in Mbye, Reynolds and Packer but our attitude and style of play has regressed something awful. Can you think of an NRL teams attack that is as boring and one dimensional as ours?

Our attack and especially our right side of BJ and Nofa were going great with Grub at 6, BJ was poor before Grub came in the team, and after he was out of the team.
The only time he has looked any good this year was when Grub was giving him early ball, our attack was also fine back then, it is not rocket science to work out where it went of the rails.

It was only against poor defensive teams though. Against decent teams Reynolds looked awful. He's as bad as Marshall imo.

I don't know about that. We gave the Panthers a good run for their money, although that's when it all fell apart for those two loons.

He may be injured, but 54 year old Marshall still led by example, sitting on the bench throughout the Tiger's stirring come from behind win against a gutsy Raiders outfit.

Wests were eventually victorious, overcoming a 1-0 half time deficit to record a 2-1 victory against a 9-man Canberra side who were decimated by injury and controversial send-offs to 4 players.

After missing 6 penalties, fellow veteran and goal kicker Moses Mbye credited Marshall for the victory. "He came up to the sideline before the kick and just 'you can do it Mate, prove the doubters wrong'. I knew I couldn't miss then."
