James Tamou has agreed to terms.
2 year deal (possible 3rd option club favour but don’t think that will happen)

Thanks Pom. JAC?

Only a matter on time now ?

Is there any other possible signings you can mention ?

Staines, Hetherington & Tukimihia Simpkins on the cards.
Sam McIntyre to be submitted extension this week.
If we can release a few “undesired” players & $$ is freed up there won’t be much more movement.

Any progress with the “undesired” players?

Talks between the club & super league about Reynolds picked up a little the last couple days (Reynolds appears very reluctant to leave, but manager knows it best option for his playing longevity)

Talks on Packer nothing new.

What’s with Reynolds not like he has kids just go mate.

He thought he had one...
no kids but a big ego to feed.

I’d like to know who we are setting our sites on for 2022. If all goes to plan and we sign Tamou, JAC and one or two others, what position are we looking to splurge on with Reynolds and Packer’s money.

Munster

I don't think munster's going anywhere.

tamau is a great signing for us lead our pack.
Tamau and Aloia together with a rotation of Twal Mikaele the big parra unit and musgrove we look good up front.
The perception of a quality player in tamau signing at the club shows we are moving in the right direction JAC is the other piece of the puzzle

it also brings in a proven winner, and very strong competition. Sets the bar higher than what we currently set

Also when we think we have enough props by onde more, the old bullfrog Moore method.
Madge likes a pack that dominates and Brooks has never been behind a pack that dominates games.
Forwards win matches the backs say by how much
Tamau is a great signing.

I’d enjoy seeing WT put out footage of Tamou and JAC signing contracts at the same time as Madge signs an extension. The moment the Tigers got their stripes back after the Cleary debacle. You could set up some cardboard Oompa Loompas in the background as an ode to Kent & Crawley. Gonna be fun watching them squirm when Madge takes us back into contention.

Funny on NRL 360 last night when Hooper mentioned we are after the likes of Tamou, Hetherington and JAC they said nothing positive about that.

I really don't understand it and I know we've been over it many times, we have dropped highly paid players with profile for constantly under performing... how is that a bad thing? They clearly haven't watched Packers efforts, and not know enough about Liddle... do they want us to drop their dear Benji again for Reynolds?

Tigers can't win with them.

Clearly we’re not inviting them over for regular caviar & cracker nights

Has Tamou signed or are we guessing.

this Simpkins fella from cowboys

anyone know much else about him?

next taumalolo?

there was a bit of press done on him on preseason due to the fact that he is a man mountain at 18, as well as the fact that he's a union convert and very much still learning the game. really have no idea about his playing abilities, but Madge and Hartigan have shown they are decent judges so willing to back them on this one.

Considering The POM posts, could it come down to choosing between Eisenhuth or Hetherington for one roster spot...?

Maybe keep both if the playing number remains at 30. But if I had to choose, if we get Tamou, then go for Hetherington I think. Eiso is a solid player, very reliable, I like him a lot, but he does the same role as Twal and Tamou, and we may not need three of that style of player in the team.

But ultimately, I'm happy to go with Madge's choice, happy to trust his steering.

That’s an easy one get rid of the plodder.

The club has just signed another over the hill plodder to the Weststigers pension fund .. and some wonder why there is never any success!

We need some experience in our pack mate, hopefully Tamou is the one that gives us that. If the contract is just for a couple of years, and not massive coin, then it could be really good for us. Fingers crossed, though I hear you, we certainly have had some really bad luck/made some not-so-good decisions in recent years in hindsight.

From what was posted earlier, Eisenhuth has been advised to look after himself first ie not wait for an offer from the Club which may not eventuate.

He's from Rotorua and has a rugby background. At 6ft 4 he's a unit and plays second row.

I don’t see how people see James as a plodder he is captain of the team winning the comp haha how people don’t see this as a good thing for the tigers is beyond me
