The disturbing thing about this story is the CEO Humphreys, who I call the 'Fib' blatantly lieing to GIBBS. I know for a fact the story surrounding Chris HEIGHINGTON and Beau RYAN is much much worse with the 'Fib' doing deals behind their backs with Phil GOULD and Beau RYAN finding out back stage on the Footy Show from FATTY that he and Heighno were going to get sacked from WT. People ask me why I dislike The 'Fib'. This is why. The Wests AGM last year is another reason. What he said is on record.

In a nutshell, five players were lied to, to there face, whilst they were being shopped around behind their backs.

That is an absolute disgrace.

One player (Moltzen) was told to his face by The Fonz that he did not rate him as a first grader. Well he was a top half before Fonz stuffed him up by playing him at fullback.

Fonz has ruined many a career the same way. I love Wests Tigers more than anything, but I greatly dislike The FIB for his constant untruthfulness, and the Fonz for the same reason and his ineptness as a coach and as a man.

If your gonna call Humphries and Sheens at least have the respect to call them by name. Most of us on this forum do not appreciate your lack of respect for people who give their all for our club. Like it or not they have passion and importantly intelligence to do what is best for our club. Unfortunately at times you like to disrespect their efforts by name calling. You should take a potshot at yourself to start off with.
Let me tell you something I met Blair the other night and he goes out of his way to make supporters feel welcome a true professional unlike Bryce who after 9 years in tiger colours did very little for the supporters off the field which Adam achieved in one function. Importantly it wont take long for Adam to achieve more on the field with the Tigers than Bryce, its not hard to see why we signed Adam.

TX Smeg for the feedback only mentioned Bryce because the topic is about him. In the end the club made the right call even though it would have been a very difficult decision to come to but the right one. I was only highlighting what I have seen with my own eyes and there is no comparison. So the head line goes but it will count most on Sunday afternoon Im sure we all cant wait for it to come around

You make a lot of claims Bug without facts or someone to back your claims, many of which (like the one highlighted above) are highly liable

For a player not rated as a first grader by Sheens hes played a bit of first grade under said coach

Now that's just crap! Bryce Gibbs loved this club, and was always friendly and approachable especially to the older women (who loved him)and the very young kids.

I have no doubt Blair is a very nice person and the ultimate professional and I look forward to seeing him play, but please Bryce Gibbs bled black, gold and white as you can see by that piece in the paper today!!

Tigermac it isnt crap! As loyal as Bryce has been he is no Adam Blair and next Sunday will tell the tale. I'm sure that Bryce will be pumped for a big one but he allows the emotion to override his head we have seen it way too many times over they years.

Im sure he will gift us a few penalties and of which should give us good field position to weave our magic, thanks for the memories Bryce but I dont think he will get one of the biggest cheers….there are 17 Tigers players before him so he's way down the pegging order on that score...........GO TIGERS!!!!

Bug If Rhino and Beau got the sack from the Wests Tigers why do we all expect them to run out Round 1 v the Sharks Whether the plyers like it or not , every year barring the Marshalls ,Lawrences etc names would get brought up every year in possible trade talks especially if the form was at its usual best ,few injuries , age etc . That another club heard about this and decided to make an issue for their own gain IE Penrith The players all realize this is one of the cons of the job

Bug you really should know this mate , you know a lot about the game or are you just trying to bend this story to help your constant need to harass both Sheens and Humphrey's

Don't agree with all of Bug's comments but have to back him here.
Heard the same thing about Ryan and Heighington last year from a friend of Heighington BEFORE it was even mentioned as a rumour.
2011 saw a few things done very poorly in regards to some players - let's hope things run more smoothly this year.

Gibbs did joke in a tweet about going to the Sharks the day the story broke, so its pretty believable that thats how he found out, which you have to say is pretty poor. I also heard about Ryan and Heighington being on the outer from someone on here in a PM before they were publicly linked with the Panthers

Do we really need to go through this again? The general consensus on this forum is that Gibbs was hard done by and it was handled poorly by the club. Unfortunately Rugby League is a professional sport now and as in any business, there will come a time where tough decisions need to be made.

- Do I wish Gibbs was still here? Of course.
- Do I think the situation was handled poorly by the club. Of course.
- Do I believe WT came to the decision lightly to cut one of the clubs favourite sons? Of course not.

Loyalty is no longer a valuable commodity in the game.
