OFFICIAL Simon Dwyer [Discussion]

Take them both they are crap

They are far from "crap" both should become regular first grade starters and both could become origin and test players,Woods is arguably the best young prop i have seen since Blocker Roach.

Dwyer 80 mins added nothing to the game. Has no idea without Benji putting him in a gap & no idea in defence.

This thread should be "Benji is nothing without the team". :bulb:

Don't see how you couldn't like Dwyer. Runs some good angles in attack and has some mongrel in his defencive work.

It looks like Coach Sheens may have finally tired Dwyer's defensive problems. At the start of the 2nd half, Dwyer was defending as a front rower, between Fafita and Keithy. Fulton was lock at the time and was used on the right. When the score hit 22-4, Dwyer was hooked and Heighno returned. Ellis moved to the right. (and carved them up!) Fulton moved to the Left and the rest is history! My guess is that young Simon's lateral defensive woes will see him wearing 14-17 next week.

Actually when Heighny went off at 28 mins Liam went right loose & Dwyer went tight.
At 12-4 Liam & Ellis swapped sides.
At 22-4 Dwyer went off Heighny came on, then Woodsy came on Keithy off, Bryce on Fifita off.
Rest is history.

Did anybody see the preview with Simon Dwyer last Sunday on the football show, when they showed his famous tackle against Jared Warera Hargreaves. Says that he has a greyhound in training with his uncle in the bush and that was his favourite past time.

Hit was friggin awesome.
But unlike early in the season, he is actually carrying the ball more in our own half as well as the the other 20.
Good for him.
His defence has always been suspicious, but he lead in with the shoulder most of the times today.
Good overall game by him today. Impressed.

If you haven`t noticed there are only 2 blokes in the side that ever hit hard with their shoulder, that being Gareth Ellis and Simon Dwyer hence the reason we are the only side in the comp that can never ever keep an opposing side trapped inside their own 20metres before reaching their last tackle.

That's weird Vicious. I feel that the Tigers have an incredibly effective way of pinning teams down in their end after a good kick. They just rarely get good kicks in.

As Wally says a kick is as good as its chase, our kicks are atrocious,
our chase makes it look good. mostly because of Moltzen and Gibbs.

Tightened his defence up noticeably today. Pity Lui isn't able to fix his up as quick.

Definetly, not only attack but also defence. I love Dwyer and highly rate him. We are gonna miss him if he has to miss games. :sign:
