Simon dwyer ??

It was my understanding that the Tigers would be seeking an exemption from the salary cap in relation to Dwyer for the 2012 season as he will not be in a position to play. And at this stage I believe it's also too early to rule him out of making a comeback in 2013.

Freeing up salary cap room, if Dwyer makes a comeback to playing you'd think it would almost certainly be with us - but that won't happen until 2013 at the soonest.

Looks like he will be working in an off field role for us, long road ahead for him. Good that the club and team will be there the whole way.

The wests tigers have deregistered simon dwyers contract, he will be working with the club in an off field role and will be re-signed once fully fit.

I would say the club couldnt get an exemption in the salary cap from the nrl so the club decided to release him instead to free up space for an extra player in the 25, with the view of re-signing Dwyer if he recovers.

his role will be paid and in a community awarness role. do things with the different charities wests tigers support

we wont be using the whole lot this year, more for depth than getting a known/established player. As far as i know we have one more signing before the 2012 season starts. 3 players i know the tigers have atleast made contact with and are potential signings.
