Nofa / Kev combo - it looks brilliant, it works.
However, the other side of the field - does not.

Simona is a gun centre and has always lacked a lethal outside man.

Richards was slow / not creative other than kicking.

We need to ditch the Rankin experiment and let Josh Addo-Carr jump in and have a go.
Otherwise we really need to recruit a solid winger than can finish.

Rankin has been woeful since pulling on a jersey.

Don't see how anyone can defend his pea heart efforts.
 
LOL Rankin was beyond bad. How can you defend him.

1\. Drop ball cold coming out of our own end
2\. Runs like a waddling duck chasing a cross field kick and can't make it in time
3\. Drops ball that hit him on the chest just before half time
4\. Trips over his shadow when the ball comes to him with a broken and depleted Parra line in front of him

You guys are conditioned to accepting mediocrity after years of Fitzhenry, Buchanan etc. Rankin is another in the long line of complete plebs we run out in first grade. A joke.
 
Rankin makes a run and makes an odd Heinington like Goose step then submits to the tackler.
Every time.
He is no threat in attack whatsoever.

Rubbish player, probably played out of position but simple fact remains, he shouldn't be there.

Maybe when Asipeli signs with the Panthers - this idiot can be the state cup captain.
 
Rankin wouldn't even have his spot if Justin Hunt didn't get a freak mysteriosis injury. That notwithstanding he never should have even beaten Addo-Carr out on preseason form.
 
He isnt a winger. Always out of position, lacks any threat what so ever on the wing.

Today he wasnt even close to solid, he never holds his line on the wing let alone again (2 games in a row) making a mistake hitting it up from our own end which isnt on.

What I find frustrating the most out of him is he holds his wing position in defence but not attack.

He is a half/fullback has played that most of his career and looks for the ball rather than wait for it.

I'd pick JAC over him but he was good today. Yes he made some mistakes but what about Tedesco's dud pass. Do we haul Tedesco over the coals for two ordinary games in a row.

Wow Steve, dont normally have a issue with your posts but seriously? Simona has received no qaulity ball on the left and has been a machine defensively. Rankin has been poor.

I reckon Simona is a gun. He is one of my favourite players but his offence hasn't been as good as what I expect it to be. I agree he hasn't been getting good ball but that isn't Rankin's fault.

I just think that the blame for today's loss (and last weeks) is misplaced. Our halves were terrible. The rest of the team did their job out there.
 
Steve I don't think anyone is saying Rankin was the difference in a win or loss today.

What people are saying about Rankin is he isnt a winger and as such shouldnt be playing there.

Brooks was terrible today, looked injured and wouldnt take control as a halfback should. Mitch had to play half, 5/8th and other things today.
