Having watched the 2005 Grand Final and cheered on Wests Tigers growing up as a kid, young gun forward Curtis Sironen says he can't wait to play in the 10th Anniversary clash this Saturday night against the North Queensland Cowboys.

"To be honest, I was pretty young and I don't remember too much of the year," he said, "but I do remember that run going into the finals and into the Grand Final.

"It's pretty exciting to be able to play with a few boys who were involved that year.

"I'm looking forward to making 2015 pretty special too, and that's my priority."

People have requested Sironen's thoughts this week…here it is...

I'm getting a tad tired of seeing these fluff articles every bleeding day. Don't tell us all how excited you are or how good you think you're going or how you're gonna step up this week - I don't really care. Just show it on the field on the day and actually WIN!

Sick of this bloke already. He has quickly turned into a lunkhead. Just play the game fool and stop with all these fluff pieces. Show us on the field and shut up with these nothing articles before each game. I dont care what you have to say, your thoughts about 2005 aren't important to me. I care about your continuous poor play on the pitch. Youd better fix that otherwise no wannabe journo will bother asking you anything soon.

Geez, I'm glad he's excited, he looked awful bored last week. I felt soooo sorry for him.

Trying to outfluff our opponents. Yes it is good he is excited. Transfer that excitement energy into performance energy and I will be impressed.

The club has to do media stuff, they say Curtis, you are speaking to some fans about the 2005 GF, it is not like he (or any other players) seeks it out and wants to make a song and dance over these things.

They ask a few questions, get a few answers the media dept put a positive spin on it….

What would you like him to do when asked to do media?

Thanks Goose. Do people really think that players organise these interviews so they can keep answering the same mundane questions??? It is a requirement of the players to speak to the media to promote the game. Fair enough that some think Sirro needs to perform better on the field, but off the field he is doing exactly what is expected of him.

Obviously Curtis is going to be the new Whipping Boy now Blair has gone.

I would suggest there are a lot more that need whipping before you get to Siro.
