Sironen: Ready for my best year yet...

You can already see a lethal combination between Siro and and Brooks building. Once Brooksy's reading of the game develops a little further I can see a Cronk-Hoffman like combination being established.

Siro looks bigger, meaner and a lot more determined this year. Catches the ball and just runs hard. Massive improvement from him so far.

Ive looked in my crystal ball and i reckon he is gonna snag a few pies this year.

Could be my new first/last try scorer guy.

Havent had a goodun since Laffranchi!! Gee i won some coin off him…..they used to have all the pigs at 50 bucks back then and i was always having a tenner each way when we played !

are all of u above related to sirro, he and sue would have to be the worst backrow in the comp they will not bother any good team in the comp, wake upp and smell the roses we are in for a very poor season with this backrow.

:wtf

People will only ever see what they want to see.

Yeah

I find it hard to see how these type of knockers call themselves supporters of the team

kept thinking it was lovett, used to seeing him run bloody hard but nup, sirro almost every time!

had him in my fantasy team, so hopefully he doesnt spill his lollies next time!!

Sirro was beasting last night. Once he puts the runs on the board Taylor will build more gameplans around him and he'll get more opportunities, but he did nothing last night to dent anyone's confidence in him. Sue was a non factor though. Liolevave or Funaki next week please. Santi to lock, Marty to backrow and one of those two boys on the bench for mine. Sue can work his way back into contention from reggies. He's done nothing since 2013.

Because they have a different opinion to you?

I love ya bp but you're fast becoming the new 'Golden' of the forum. I wasn't overly impressed by last night's overall performance either, but things aren't all that bad, mate.

As for Sirro, he is getting better and better with each game he plays. He's gonna be a goodun!

Saved the game for mine - his tackle in the Titans last set - certain try had he not wrapped the ball up. Great carry to lead up to field goal - all confidence boosters. Wont convince everyone after one game, and fair enough, but not a bad start.

Sirro was terrific on Saturday.

Looked very dangerous, his defence was good also, thought he was amongst our best.

personally thought sirro had his best game in the backrow for the club. ran hard, tough lines and defended well. his hands still let him down a bit (that drop off farah on the line) but confident that will come good.

I've always thought he had massive talent, and I know he's still relatively young, but I'm still waiting for his 'break-out' performance where he absolutely kills it… surely it can't be too far off?

I dont think we will have to wait to long Barra, his big game is just around the corner and then he wont look back…..

looked like someone who finally got some off season work in instead of recovering from off season work.

don't think he would have had the strength to wrap up on the player at the end in previous years

some crucial one on one tackles were made by the team that in previous years probably wouldn't have been made.

The beauty of SIro is that he played all his junior footy at 6 so he can pass and kick like a back but has tis massive frame.

Ive got my fingers crossed…he could be a beauty!

So pleasing to get on here this season to see that the talk is about the footy, not Mayer , the board, potter etc, the teams first game was not a pretty win , but a valuable one first up,let's hope the positivity continues for this team that will surprise a lot of sides

Just rewatched the Tigers game (have this week off work) and the performance from Sironen was all class. As an edge backrower he isn't going to be making every 2nd run as he isn't in the middle but when he did run he made great meters and took a pwoer of putting down, his tackles were ball and all, his passes crisp - it was the best I have seen him play but given its only like game number 15 in the backrow its probabaly to be expected and given his first full offseason - I think he will be a star performer for us this year
