I forgot this kid was only 18.. and 104 kilos!! How many weet-bix does he do? He's gotta be the biggest 5/8 in the comp for quite some time, unless I'm mistaken?

If that one about Eastwood is true, that is truly a dog act by Canterbury. IIRC he is paying off his transfer fee to Bradford out of his own pocket because the NRL wouldn't allow the Dogs to exclude it from the cap.

Coax the bloke to come back from England, let him pay off his own transfer fee and then release him… Poor form by the Doggies.

gibbs has been a tigers junior he never thought of anyone but the tigers, we gave him a 2/3 year extension on the contract. STILL he was made to look elsewhere, luckily for him, sharks offered more money. it isnt just dogs who do it, it happens everywhere. i agree, eastwood's maybe of a slightly higher degree but on many levels, it's the same as what tigers did to fifita and gibbs.

CONTRACTS ARE TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF CRAP THESE DAYS. makes it so hard for players to be a one club man and hard for us fans to have a favourite player when you don't even know how long they'll stay here for.

A man with one of the biggest spare tyres in top grade RL history. That is when he wasn't slumming it in the reserves in between MOM efforts for the Kiwis

Never once did I say we were exempt from it. Gibbs was treated very poorly. Just think in Eastwood's case it's especially poor.

eastwood suffered financial harm whereas gibbs suffereed emotional harm no doubt. i dont think they are too different tbh. i just want to push the fact that players and clubs need to honour them more.

Totally agree mate, contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on now.
