Neck surgery, and only missing 4 games?

I know right? I thought the same thing.

Hope he doesn't come back too early and jeopardise his health.

We have a bye in there somewhere and if he came back after missing 4 games it would be 6 weeks in total from the time of the operation. That could be the discrepancy. Still, that would be a good outcome. He could well miss more games.

Good opportunity for Fine, Liolevave or Funaki to stake a claim for a spot in first grade over Santi or Lovette if they can lift their performances.

Amazing how far these type of injuries have come… I had to wait 8 years before they would consider operating on my C6/7.

10 weeks after my fusion, the surgeon told me I could play footy again [obviously I was too old], but would prefer I wait 12 months before playing golf. 😕

Best of luck Curtis… By the time your back, I hope your brother hasnt stolen your backrow spot

Why was he allowed to play 2 games with this injury? Especially given JT's comments earlier in the year & only this week about not playing guys who weren't 100% fit.

Some inconsistencies popping up.

That's a really good point. Someone speak with fork tongue.

Surgery went well from all reports. I think he's due back in a couple of weeks.

Good to hear. Interesting to see where he fits in though (if at all) when he is ready to return. Both Rowdy & Lovett have been doing well. And then theres the option of moving Sue to the backrow also.

I'd like to see Siro play a roaming lock role off the bench with a starting back row of Sue & Lawrence.

Don't mind where they play him when he returns, so long as he is 110% fit, neck injuries are bad business

There a chance of a five eight spot for Sironen in the near future.

What in reserve grade…Moses is not going anywhere, lets face it Blake Austin could not move Moses so Siro got no chance

But Supercoach the question should be "why is Moses not going anywhere?". His form absolutely does not warrant his untouchable status. We are about to lose Martin, yet are still waiting for Moses to do something. Sironen at 5/8 is not the worst idea. He's played there through most of his development years and, given our poor defence in the backs, would stiffen that up. Moses needs to show something in NSW Cup. First grade is not a nursery, at least not in the strong clubs.

Moses has gone better than Siro this year, but that is not saying to much, but as others have said Moses has been pretty good the past few weeks

Sirro started the year quite strongly and was rewarded with a city jumper. His form did appear to drop away but as was later discovered, this coincided with his neck injury.

I think once he is 100% right he will partner Lawrence in the back row with Lovett the unfortunate one. He may come through state cup for a couple of weeks though.

There is more upside with Siro than Lovett.

Siro is already on a long term contract, Lovett is not. Decision was made at that point.

Siro needs time which is not surprising. He has the biggest adjustment challenge. 5/8 to Second row. Seriously, he may as well of changed to union.
