Sitaaleki akauola

I think it was pretty obvious from the get go that BMM didn't have the mentality to become a top line first grader. Same thing with Akauola and if I didn't know better I'd have tarred Fifita with the same brush but Fifita's talent has pushed him forward despite it. Lodge is the same. Just all too dumb for it.

Players like Sitaaleki and BMM have the potential to be great 1st Graders the problem is they lack the desire and hunger to succeed .
Now that we know Sitaaleki had Mental issues wondering how much of that played a part?

I can't speak for BMM but Sitaleki has been quoted in the news today saying he suffered depression this season after being forced to play out of position. Blames a serious lack of communication from the coaching staff for making him feel uncomfortable in the move.

It could be hunger or desire but to me it sounds mental, whatever it is.

Not making light of the problem - I think the problem lies singly at having these kids 18+ playing on the big stage from a young age - There isn't one of them that thinks they won't make the big time and most are spending money before they make it.
In this case, I would think that being dropped for "lack of effort" would disappoint most people…
and a certain amount of stress and low feeling would come from losing your spot.
On his day, Sitaleki is one of the most dynamic backrowers at the club, He has it all.
But his commitment and dedication has been lacking - and quite evident to be honest.
It's one thing to be a teenage superstar, Quite another to do the hard hards...
Heard it time and time again from old players - Natural Talent will only get you so far!!
