Agree with you Willow give Pritchard a go as you say can cover a lot of positons .Iwont bag Fitzhenry but i do think it is time to go been a great clubman we do need to move on with the younger guys .

picked. Agree Fulton can cover back and forwards position and should be number 17 with Moors, Fifita and Patyen joining him on the bench. I would start Dwyer in the second row

he's gone alright some games this year.. but seriously when was alright good enough. We have better talent, we should not be pushing that away just so fitzy can play.

Fitzhenry might be a good clubman but he should put somewhere, where he use his experience for the good of the club and that's playing statecup, he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near 1st grade.. Like somebody else said if he's our best utility then we have problems..

Fitzy was always going to feature alot this year.Sheens loves him.Imo he should be near a backline.If he
is going to be there,which he will,I see his only value is coming off th bench at dummy half.Farah dropping
back to half like he does at stages.I don't know why he's rated higher than Brown.I think Brown does a much
better job on the wing than fitzy.

TBH in all the time i've seen fitzy play.He's been very ordinary,though he did start a season very well in 07 i think
was.Apart from that well.....

Interesting to listen to Tunksy on Talkin Sport - says Fitzy shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a first grade side - says its obvious Sheens plays favourites ie fitzy and yanking fifita from the field when half the team were woeful.

I heard this also. Isn't funny that not only us fans, but former players can also see the obvious weakness in the side. He is a liability. No other team in the NRL was interested in his services when he was returning from the UK except Wests. Tunksy went on to say that Sheens is very loyal but loyalty doesn't guarantee success or win premierships. Sheens' loyalty to Fitzhenry is sickening. Especially considering when there are players that are more deserrving on an opportunity but don't get a look in due to this favouritism. Apart from his ridiculous fixation with manufacturing players in new positions, this loyalty or favourtism is another area where Sheens lets himself down as a Coach.

I wonder if Sheens though has actually stuffed up Fitzy's development as a player.

As a fullback he might have been a good player. He is elusive at times and does have some speed. I remember one game at Leichardt when he killed them from the back. Lincoln Withers was on fire at halfback.

This year we have seen him perform pretty well from the back as well.

Maybe if he had been allowed to play in a set role in the lower grades he might have been able to perfect his game.The constant positional changes especially to positions where he is not suited (the halves) may have stopped him from becoming the best player he could be.

No doubting that whatsoever tiger05\. Just look at Bronson Harrison & Dene Halatau for example. I'm convinced Sheens buggered up both these bloke's potential and development. Harrison and Halatau came through the ranks as devastating outside backs. He turned one into a prop and the other got whored around from second row, lock, hooker. Halatau never had the opportunity to cement a position that he could grow into. Fitzhenry came to the club from Souths as a Fullback. Bob Linder at the time utilised him as a Fullback after seeing he couldn't handle the ball playing role in the halves and struggled under pressure on the wing and had problems reading the defence playing at centre. Years later, Fitzhenry like Halatau now has that infamous label as a 'utility' and unfortunately may be able to produce a moment of brillance every so often, yet he counteracts that with displays of ineptness. It's not entirely his fault. At the end of the day, Fitzhenry doesn't asked to be selected now does he….

Fitz tonight (as with many games this year) he is just not up to first grade.
High balls, support play, defence, general skills. We have many good wingers coming out of the grades and Brown is so much stroger…..although he is not my first picked.
From memory Fitz dropped to bombs, threw a stupid forward pass to benji, and was confused at dummy hald running.
PLEASE DROP HIM.
Daniela defended pretty well tonight and didn't get much ball.

Who do you suggest should replace Fitzhenry?
IMO he brings to the team a measure of flexibility given that he can play so many different (back) positions and whilst he has erred it has not been grosser than others. He's even tackled and caught to save tries and scored tries.
IMO the critics of DF think there's some reserve grade star in the wings?

Mitch Brown on the wing, Geoff Daniella in the centres and Blake Ayshford as the bench utility would be a solid upgrade on our current arrangements, imho…

Wasnt it Lamb that selected Fitzy in the centres and at five-eighth initially?

Linder first whilst Fitzhenry was playing Reserve Grade. Then he made his debut at 5/8th with Glen Air at Halfback. Probably THE Worst Halves combination in 102 Years of Rugby League. Lamb didn't have much choice i guess. It was either Fitzhenry or Nick Bradley-Qaliawa

If there's an injury mid game, sure, cover in the halves or in the backs, but never, EVER, should he be named in the starting 13.

Agreed. Daneils "Utility" value is a positive, but we would be better suited bring in one of the boys from 20's or NSW Cup if its for a starting position.

At some stage leading into the Finals, if we are going to continue with a 17 to cover the backs, it needs to an Impact player, a real stryke weapon. If not, we would be better suited having 2 props, 2 backrowers.

In the finals, you need some 'interchanges' and some 'impact' from the bench!!!

I think it is truly a scandal that a slow and useless player like Fitzhenry can get a start over Brown. Brown is younger, quicker, stronger. It is just disgusting. Plain disgusting that our coach plays such obvious favourites to the detriment of the team.

I can accept him at 17 but there is no way in 2010 that this slow and usless player should be starting a game. He should be playing in reserves or maybe Group 7\. We are the onlyclub in the League that would accept his talents. I don't hate the guy, I feel sorry for him. He will be ridiculed for years because Sheens has played him when he clearly is not up to it.

I don't think i have seen an outside with less attributes or talents play over 100 games. It is a joke.

It can be argued that Fitzy deserves the no17 jumper but to send him out in front of a long list of players who are younger,faster,stronger,bigger seems to be absolute madness. The trouble is, we can all post stuff till the cows come home, Sheens will not change his ways. Even if TNT Moltzen and Ryan were fit he would still find a place for FItzy in the 17\. If he was a old hard headed forward I could understand where Sheens is coming from but your outside backs need speed and size and Fitzy has neither.

Sheens should bite the bullet and give Fitzy the runners job –that would solve a lot of problems
