I don't think so

@tigergirlz said:Just trying to get my head around this issue (which I'm finding a bit confusing). Two questions I have:
1\. Is there an issue about State Cup teams? Balmain are teamed with Ryde Eastwood, which is a large club in its own right. Would there be a stand alone Ryde Eastwood team if Balmain dropped out?
2\. Do the Wets Tigers do much training at either Campbelltown or Leichhardt?

I recall that Sheens stopped this very thing and consolidated all to a New home ground in Concord. He even painted the Gym himself.
Masterstroke IMO
When we will start really focusing on the fact this club is more that its great history and now a great club in its own right.
The next generations (ie my 4 kids) dont know about balmain and dont care about wests. its all about Benji, Robbie, Gall and Lote and the colours.

I think we could easily have the six games at Campbelltown which is almost up to standard (something needs to be down about the concourse area/toilets under the main stand).
So really I think its Leichhardt that is a bit of a problem.
I think it needs (at least)…
Plastic seating right around the terrace areas.
New PA system - desperately!!
New scoreboard (not demolishing the old one).
A rethink of the extremely congested (and I think unsafe) concourse area in front of the Latchem Robinson stand.
Better toilet facilities on the hill side.
Stairs, railings and barriers on the hill to improve safety.
More corporate areas (which would be the biggest and most expensive issue).
And somewhere to park your car wouldn't hurt. !
You need a special secret parking spot like I have
Seriously though isn't the light rail going in nearby? This will help.

How much do you want for your 'secret' spot Helmesy,
I don't often get to Leichhardt, but I will be needing it this year.
@Vicious said:I`ve got a couple of questions for everyone.
Do the Wests Tigers and the Wests Tigers fans want to embrace the Liverpool-Macarthur region as it`s own or not?
The next question is why would any talented young footballer from this region such as Brett Hodgson, John Skandalis, Chris Lawrence, Jarryd Hayne, Israel Folau and Krisnan Inu just to name a few, feel any sense of belonging or attachment to the Wests Tigers in their current form and with their current plans???
it`s quite obvious the likes of Hayne, Folau, Inu etx didn`t feel any sense of belonging or attachment to what is supposed to be the local club in the area they grew up in!

Stop using Israel Folau as an example for one thing. His family moved to Queensland. To suggest this happened because of a lack of attachment to Wests Tigers is ridiculous.
Besides the flip side is would you be happy to give up on the inner-west and have guys like Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods go elsewhere? I apologise if I misunderstand your post but the club needs to look after both Campbelltown and the Balmain district but at the end of the day the running of juniors, for better or worse, is largely in the hands of the junior district football clubs. And right now that means getting Wests Campbelltown to get their house in order or hand over the running of things to Wests Tigers.

This is the time to make a move…ALL or nothing...no more farting around hanging onto scraps and remnants of memories.
No pretend BS...go hard and REALLY and truly stand on our own two feet!
ONE home ground...SFS!

You know Ink you might have hit the nail on the head there .
Especially if the aren't prepared to seriously upgrade LO
In this day and age people want all the mod cons
Maybe only play 2 games at LO and CS and the rest at SFS
@Vicious said:The point is the kids from the Balmain District have plenty of reasons to want to one day play for the Wests Tigers, I can`t see near as many reasons why kids from the Wests District would want to one play for the Wests Tigers yet this is the much bigger and much faster growing area.
As a Wests Tigers fan, this concerns me and I have lived my whole life in the inner west and have my son playing in the Balmain Junior District Rugby League as I did myself.
There is nothing wrong with the young kids playing in the Balmain District Junior Rugby League, I see for myself that there is plenty of talent, but to disregard the Liverpool-Macarthur region to me is rediculous and cannot be a good thing for the Wests Tigers long term!
