Wests Tigers never borrowed money from the NRL btw Mr Chammas.. I little fact checking wouldn’t go astray in your expose’

It was Balmain, wasn't it?

The article says we've got 4 spots open in our top 30 for next year. If you look at the Tigers website it only lists 24 players contracted for 2022, leaving us with 6 spots open for next year

Reece Hoffman and William Kei are not included in that list, maybe they're getting promoted?

This official list has Kei on another Dev next year and Hofman into the 30 for 22/23.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/01/23/2021-signings-tracker-official-rosters-and-contracts-for-all-16-clubs2/#weststigers

That list doesn't include Tuilagi though. Hard to figure out how many spots we've got left lol

It is not only the players that turn on each other when the blowtorch is applied.

None of this is really new. A lot of it is stuff that has been printed before and is now just in one story so it’s a stretch to call it an investigation more like a Year 7 school report. The 2 players mentioned not in speaking terms aren’t at the club next year so there is no need for them to talk. **The article also ignores that Balmain junior league is the fastest growing in the state and is run by Wests Ashfield.**

Interesting....can you provide more details?

@cochise Its never been mentioned before that Madge had final editing rights on the documentary???????

I had never heard that, I doubt it as Fox had control and the club wasn't completely happy with how it was put together.

Yeah what is it about us that draws these articles?

The Broncos got the spoon last year, finished bottom 4 this year and I swear we've still had more articles.

Every club has lean years. The Broncos haven’t been nearly as bad as us consistently though. They also just signed one of the games premier halfbacks, whereas we are still twiddling our thumbs. It’s good this is being highlighted. The club deserves to be embarrassed.

No other club has failed for the last decade like we have bar like the warriors but no one cares about them lol. We get picked on because there's constantly things going wrong

Warriors made the finals in 2017. One more time than we have in the last decade.

Warriors are serial under-performers, especially with the playing rosters they have had over the years. Still haven’t won a comp and are super inconsistent just about every season. Granted the last 2 seasons haven’t been kind to them with the problems brought about by Covid, but no excuse for previous years’ failures. We may not see a lot written here in the Australian media, but I reckon the NZ press would have a bit to say about their failure to succeed.

What the club needs.

- a new ceo that can manage the media better and hire the right people

- sack hartigan or juniors only

- new and improved performance staff

- if we could nab a Brad fitter type person as an assistant, consultant or half coach to attract players and improve coaching

- new assistants

- go cambo once stadium deal expires

If we can do above think we will move up the ladder

Can only agree with one of those points.

Hartigan, Pascoe and Maguire just need to make friends with Chairman Lee's family members. That will get you a 4 year extension on good coin regardless of performance.

So in response to an article that basically says everything away from the field is going great...........you would change everything away from the field?

so true Harvey so true!!! i love this club but they infuriate me with this sort of rubbish that gets Noffa a 4 1/2 year contract

Unreal isn't it.

The non-football people need to stay the hell away from football operations.

We have 25 spots filled at this stage (26 if you include the club taking up Roberts' option which the result of that decision hasn't been announced yet).

That's what I was thinking to be honest. I remember seeing Hoffman was joining the 30 in 2022.

If Hoffman is coming, then that gives 28? not much room left?

I have been giving it to Chammas the last few months (in my head not at him) but this is a really good article with some interesting viewpoints. Like i said in a few posts the end of next year is huge for us. We are out of the other licensing contract and are free to pick ONE place to play. To me this is one of the biggest decisions in WT history. Do we have the balls to pull the pin even know a lot of the sup[porter base will be annoyed at whatever the outcome?
I personally dont care where we end up but we need to solidify the club as west tigers. Change all our junior teams, our reserve grade teams to wests tigers. Pick one home ground even if it is campletown. And drop all the rubbish that is west magpies and Balmain.

Once and for all COMMIT to the brand and unlucky to all those that cant move forward with us.

Sadly this article is probably a more thorough review than our official one at season's end which will most likely resolve we need to sell more hats in 2022.

If you include Hoffman and Roberts it makes 26 not 28, already included Hastings and Gildart in that number.
