After the game I was having a celebratory smoke under the scoreboard with a few mates when Daley approached us and said "how about them tigers? they'll go all the way now!"

I've never used the F word so many times in one sentence!

he was a great player but as a selector, coach, commentator he knows about as much as that dump I took this morning…..and it was runny!

I gave it to him.

Well done stryker. I could not agree more. A great player, then nothing, a total waste of space.

How many times do hear how bad a team's supporters are because of one bad apple. Well done. :unamused:

the guys not worth the air he uses, dont defend him. He was slagging off the tigers all week and saying that raiders were the real deal, in addition to him helping to prevent any tigers players having a crack at SOO. He is an idiot and id be happy if he disappeared from the game. Well done stryker! Probably a reserved speech compared to the beer fueled abuse the raiders fans were spewing after the game. (is what i heard, is what i heard)

Sorry mate, I can't applaud your efforts here. Surely there's something to be said for being gracious in victory.

Daley obviously isn't the Tigers biggest fan but he's a great of the game who's done a tremendous amount for rugby league and to be abused like that when offering his congratulations is poor form and quite embarrassing in my opinion.

I thought Tigers fans were above that sort of thing. Let's leave rubbish like that to the other teams.

Sorry to pile on but I think that needs to be said.

Mate, the bloke's obviously a pretty big Raiders fan, clearly he was going to be out there spruiking them over the Tigers.

But like I said, when he comes up to offer his congratulations the gracious thing to do is accept it, not throw a bunch of F bombs in his face.

And I don't care how some idiot Raiders fans were acting, Tigers fans are better than that. It's why you always here great stories from away supporters who have gone to Tigers matches.

sorry something about the guy gives me the creeps, maybe the media spins stuff he says more than others i dont know, theres just something about him im not fond of lol

i dont condone fbombs but if the raiders had won i doubt daley would have been gracious and humble, he would have been "Bring on the real challengers now Dragons and Titans" "who did we just play again?" etc…

I don't care for Lauries opinion 99.9% of the time but he is at least honest in terms of his opinion and if he says he was impressed than he would have meant it.

On a side note I tried watching the Fox replay and that worthless tub of goo Raymond must have bet his house on the Raiders. What an utter turd of a commentary

Too True, all the commentators wanted the raiders fairytale to continue!

Hate to admit it but Daley was the fairest

What about the channel 9 pre game.

Brad Fittler in a raiders jumper
Replays of that day in 1989
highlights from the roosters game last week

Made the victory even sweeter

yeh i liked the video montage they put of marshall being on the sideline and us losing the game with the line
"Will he Play?" lol sheens did well to make everyone question it and he was always going to play.

Look bjm8, Colonel and Chris,

Obviously this is a very watered down account of our run in…..trust me, the only person who acted embarrasingly last night was him and his drunken boofhead mates. I was driving and so was sober.

If your interested I'll pm you our "conversation."

Don't think that was the right way of going about it. We have other supporters on here complaining about the treatment given at the game last night from the other team but yet I'm reading the same thing here from our own end.

Could of been done in a more gracious way.

Driving home from work I was listening to 2UE with Brandy & Gibbo and they were interviewing Brad. Brad actually picked the tigers to win. He did say he had to wisper it as he was wearing a raiders jersey. May not have been his doing - but he did back us to win.

The Fox commentary last night was an absolute disgrace.

I've said it in another thread, nobody in the media rates us. They never have.

Last week we had no chance. This week will will again have no chance.

Not a fan of Daley, never have been, but he should be shown some respect. "how about them tigers? they'll go all the way now!"is surely no reason to go off at him.

I'll also add that while there was a number of total ar$3H8#2! Raiders supporters, I had a trio of Tigers sitting in front of me who were a dead set embarrassment to the human race, let alone the Tigers.

I'm not a fan of night games because there is a much higher incidence of drunkenness, you see much less on a Sunday arvo.
