So the good news with the team this week

1\. Farah back to hooker with Lui at half.

This should really help our attack. Sheens clearly has a lot of time for Lui and with Moltzen gone for the year Lui is really our best option here given he's done a lot more training at halfback for us. Farah back at hooker should see our attack flow better than it has probably since the Cowboys game. I expect our attack to be as dangerous as it was a month ago, just pray our execution is on song.

2\. Our forwards

They probably had their best game in a month last time round against the roosters. Galloway and Gibbs will be primed for a big one to aid their rep causes as will Farah. With Ellis, Payten and Heighington, thats a damn good pack we've got at our disposal. Throw in Fulton and Fifita off the bench and we're well served for the bunnies this weekend.

Now the big IF for us is :

1\. Our discipline

Got to cut out the drop ball and in particular the amount of unforced errors we've committed most weeks this season. Penalties have hurt us too but overall our discipline has really attributed to our downfall this past month. We're just giving sides too much ball on our line.

2\. Benji and Robbie

They've looked out of sorts working together but having Lui back in there should help them become more effective for the team.

If we can do all of that then we should get over Souths but it won't be easy, only backing us for our genuine play making abilities. Marshall-Farah > Luke.

it doesnt matter whos wearing what numbers when sheens goes with a lightweight bench if brown plays we are toast

Well we know Sheens will do it so we can't say we're not ready for the workload. The boys are just going to have to deal with it. As much as it annoys me too ron.

don't forget the souths look to be the laziest team in the comp.
lets just hope when they have there usual 55minute brain snap were either 28 points or ahead or forwards ready to aim up.

Tigerpete, that is a very important point. We trained all off-season with an expectation that Lui would be in the 7\. I am hoping to see an improvement in our attacking coordination this week as a result.

I still think Sheens didnt give Lazarus a fair shake in the way he used him in both games but Rob is back and I am hoping he proves the doubters wrong.

Good post Pete…team on paper is looking a lot better than in recdent weeks...even the bench to a point

I figured Sheens wants a big starting pack and Fulton will be on first change.

If only he would swap Moors for Brown or Fitzy. :deadhorse:

fulton on the bench is stupid

Perhaps it's more a show of our depth in the back row? Ellis, Heighington and Payten. We can hardly call that weak back row. I'd had my doubts with Liam this season but he's looking the best he ever has and part of me is dissapointed he's on the bench but the reality is we've got a pretty good back row.

The team looks awesome this week. The bench has been crap for a couple of months now, i think we just have to accept that this is the way we are going to play instead of harping on about it every week.

I think our main concern is whether fifita or moors will start for galloway. Fifita is an impact player, so i think if he starts it could be detrimental to our efforts.

I thought Moors would start but as was pointed out by someone in another thread the likely shift would be Payten to prop and Fulton to start

i suppose it does give our backrow great depth but now with payton moving to front row im assuming that fulton will go to back row anyway?
