A fine afternoon's work for Bournemouth as they make it 13 Premier League matches unbeaten, this time defeating Newastle United 2-1.

  • Marcus Tavernier opens scoring by bundling home from Rayan's cross
  • William Osula equalises from close range following VAR check
  • Adrien Truffert wins it for Bournemouth by tapping home from Evanilson's knockdown
  • Bournemouth extend unbeaten run in Premier League to club record 13 games
  • Andoni Iraola's side move up to eighth as Newcastle stay 14th

Just when I thought Spurs were home they stagger to a 2-2 draw. Not what’s needed at this time of the season.
But they seemed somewhat improved and did go 2-1 ahead. And the Brighton goal came right at the nd. Damn !
Come on ye Spurs !!

Manchester United took a massive stride towards securing a return to the Champions League as Matheus Cunha's first-half goal proved enough to beat out-of-form Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's own hopes of a place at European club football's top table are in peril as they suffered a fourth Premier League defeat in a row for only the second time this century and were jeered off at the final whistle.

Spurs and Brighton finish 2 all, but the drama for Spurs continues ......
  • Pedro Porro heads in opener for relegation-threatened Tottenham
  • Kaoru Mitoma volleys in stunning equaliser for visitors
  • Xavi Simons puts Spurs on course for victory before Georginio Rutter's late leveller

Tottenham's hopes of achieving Premier League survival were dealt a devastating late blow as Georginio Rutter scored a 95th-minute equaliser for European hopefuls Brighton.

Spurs appeared on course to end their desperate winless league run, which extended to a 15th match, and move out of the bottom three when Xavi Simons curled in with 13 minutes remaining.

Instead, Roberto de Zerbi's side remain one point from safety with just five games remaining - and their situation could yet worsen over the coming days with relegation rivals Nottingham Forest and West Ham yet to play, after Leeds United earlier distanced themselves from trouble.

This is rare.
Heaps of 'keepers go forward to try and help their teams salvage a goal against the odds.
And then it happens!

Exeter goalkeeper Jack Bycroft scored a sensational equaliser deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for his side in a six-goal thriller with EFL League One play-off hopefuls Stockport.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper went forward and powered home a brilliant header from Danny Andrew's corner to keep alive Exeter's survival hopes – as well as sparking celebrations for Cardiff, who were promoted when Stockport dropped points.

Great to know it sometimes comes off .........
