While representing South Korea at the World Cup, Kim Seung-gyu is carrying much more than the pressure of a nation on his shoulders.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper left for his fourth World Cup knowing his wife, Kim Jin-kyung, was just days away from giving birth. Their daughter arrived only a few days ago, but Kim has so far only been able to meet her through a video call.

Kim Seung-gyu: "I feel very guilty towards my wife and daughter. That's why I want to achieve a good result at this World Cup and return to Korea with a great gift for them."He responded in the best way possible.

Kim was named Player of the Match in South Korea's opening 2-1 win over the Czech Republic after producing a string of vital saves in the closing stages.

When Son Heung-min was substituted, he handed the captain's armband to Kim Min-jae for the closing stages against the Czech Republic.

After the final whistle, with the win secured, Kim immediately went to find Son and personally returned the armband.

Respect.

Turkey had a nice run through their qualification, and they haven't been to the World Cup since finishing third in 2002.

They will be a tough team to beat. If we can switch from our standard 4-3-3 to a 3-4-3, and then drop into a 5-4-1 on the counter, we have a chance.

I'm more concerned about how dominant the US was against Paraguay. They looked really good.

Yeah, the Yanks horrify me for our match up they were quick with sharp passing, just blew Paraguay away the host nation has a habit of playing out of their skin in world cups.
