It's the group stage for Mexico, don't get carried away.

I just think people are sleeping on them.

They now get the 3rd place team from a bunch of groups to be decided, at the Azteca, and winning that, play their next game ALSO at the Azteca.

Home support certainly won't hurt them.

By the time we get to that game, they might very well be the last remaining "Home" side & might get a surge of local support from their northern 'cousins'...outside of the president I imagine.

Essentially, they play at home until the quarters now.

I think the Yanks's FIFA ranking is too low and ours is too high. Their speed, pass accuracy, and ball skills have been too much for the Socceroos. The game feels kinda like Tigers v Panthers ...

It was always going to be very hard to win playing against them in their own country with them having about 13x the population we have.The seppos will become even more deluded about their chances of winning the WC now.

Our 1st half team was so bad

The guys who came in the 2nd half we actually looked competitive

Disappointing first half from the Socceroos, but we were the better side in the second half, missed opportunity.

Excellent defence in the second half. Unfortunately that own goal in the 11th minute changed the game.

Was always going to be a tough ask and the class difference showed. All eyes on Turkey v Paraguay now, let’s hope it’s a 0-0 draw. Still a good chance to go through but can’t afford another first half like today, maybe a few changes upcoming.

We probably deserved atleast one goal in that second half , but yeah they were al over us. They might be one of those surprise teams in the 8

Considering we were predicted to come last in our group and we already have a win against Turkey, we aren’t doing so bad.
