It's B/S that Germany and France can meet in the round or 16 that's a easy a round 8 game if not a semi final horrible draw
Yeah, they need an American or South American team to be there. That's just how the groups have been created.

It looks perfectly primed for a Mexico v US quarter final game.

I'm crossing my fingers and toes that we make it into the round of 16 and once again upset one of the football juggernauts, but I'm not confident after yesterday's performance.

Any idea where that would be played?
Imagine the pressure on the ref...ole uncle Donald watching closely

Crazy how much these players are allowed to whinge and complain to the referees … the ref in the Uruguay v Spain game got shoved after he stuck his arm out trying to stop a melee

A landmark moment for Cape Verde

👏

They have reached the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time on their tournament debut.
A draw with Saudi Arabia, combined with Uruguay's defeat by Spain, was enough to send them through.

I don't think that's true, unless Haaland counts as five players. Both teams rested five key players as they would get through regardless of the result. The key difference was that Mbappé played, while Haaland didn't.

Regardless, France look like a much stronger side than Norway, Germany, Brazil and Argentina.
