Wonder what people's thoughts are on the 48 team World Cup's that will start after 2026 ??

Personally think 48 is ridiculous

Someone said they are proposing two teams from Oceania …. scary thought if that 2nd side played Germany ,Brazil ,Argentina etc , seeing 10-0 will push the sport backwards

You go to a World Cup and you'd like to think that any team is a match for any other from top of the group through to the bottom

Shocking call, go to 40 teams and have 8 groups of 5 if you must expand it. The confederations that need more teams probably won't get them (South America, Europe and Africa). It just seems a big ploy to give China a chance to qualify. That said I don't think it's going to open the doors for many more rubbish teams to qualify, I think a few of the once every 3 world cup teams will become regulars.
