Looks like it will be the USA.

Looking at CONCACAF now, they have two rounds left, Trinidad are out of the running & thankfully Mexico have qualified

Mexico 18 +8
Costa Rica 15 +7
Panama 10 +2
–----
USA 9 +1
-------
Honduras 9 -7
Trinidad 3 -11

last two rounds of matches
USA vs Panama
Costa Rica vs Honduras
Mexico vs Trinidad

Trinidad vs USA
Panama vs Costa Rica
Honduras vs Mexico

I think the USA vs Panama game willl decide who we play, America win they'll jump to 3rd and should knock over Trinidad for to wrap up third place, if Panama win they would wrap up auto qualification. Personally it's a tough call for me, we can go a better scouting job of the Seppos due to their players playing in more prominent leagues (MLS is easily accessible plus they have a lot of Bundesliga players in their squad) but they will also have more quality. I think either way we go in as underdogs.

Well the US smashed Panama 4-0 so it looks like either Panama and Honduras

Probably Panama now, but barring 3 crazy upsets we avoid America. If we can't beat Panama or Honduras over 2 legs we don't deserve to go to the cup.

Milligan and Kruse awful.
Decision to start Smith was amateurish.
Thank you Tim.
Now Honduras or Panama???

Could still be the USA if they stuff things up in Trinidad and the other two win. Argentina playing to stay in the WC tomorrow too.

This team plays like they are on L plates.
Transition from defence is slow and just god awful. They seem to wait for their opnents to set their defences before moving the ball to their attackers.
When Syria was down to 10 men and out on their feet with fatigue the Australian flankers just pass the ball back instead of running at the the tired defence.
Just bloody awful to watch!
This team just has not clicked since they won the Asia cup.
And the tactics used by Ange are not working with the talent he has at his disposal.
Unless they significantly pick up their act they will get dusted by either Panama or Honduuras.

Absolute garbage last night. We seem to bring the best out in every opposing goalkeeper of late without any class finishing options outside of a 37 year old on the downhill slide. Smith's injury was serendipitous as it brought Mooy on earlier than what he'd ever have been subbed on.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get done in our next game, tough ask without the only bloke in the team who can reliably put in good crosses.

Need to go back to basics, 4-4-2 or a 4-1-3-2.

Juric - Cahill

Troisi - Luongo - Mooy - Leckie

Behich - Jurman - Sainsbury - Dagenek

Or:

Juric - Cahill

Troisi - Mooy - Leckie

Jedinak

Behich - Jurman - Sainsbury - Dagenek

We get smashed on the counter too. So bloody slow in defence and we exacerbate it by only playing 3 backs. Always get caught out on the long ball.

I though Rukavytsya looked OK considering he has been away from the national side for a while.

Ange and his style of football isn't working for us. To show balance in my criticism i don't think we have the quality of footballer that is needed to play that style but a world quality coach would see that and adjust his methods. you cant fit a square peg into a round hole.

either Kruse is being used incorrectly or he is just not a quality player.
