Blanks United (wt00), Minto FC (Harvey) and MANS (swag tiger) remain out in front in the top 3 spots.

Aldinga Allstars (JRD) and Tranquilo (dazz-96) are making moves up the league into clear 4th and 5th places respectively.
Fibro’s (851) and Queens Park Raisins (Marshall Magic) are each making moves upward in the league; which then means Benzeman da Tiger (WestsBen Tigers) , Bon Vivant (mrs tiger_one) , Laroche Lions (tiger_one) and Bozo’s Ballers (Bozo97) are dropping spots.

And what does that mean? Well, as the comp now has turned the corner with 14 rounds to go, it means everyone is still in the comp with a shot but it’s always better to be moving with momentum forward as opposed to the alternative.

So we all should be looking to make the best of the post Christmas team selections, where real managers are getting to the pointy end of all the comps, where soon the FA cup and Champions league distractions to EPL games will disappear and hopefully, there gets a bit more consistency in team selections.
Still, these game results are , week in, week out verging on crazy, so unpredictable are the results. And our league managers are really up there with the better results of the overall world participants, so great work everyone!

Remembering that the comp goes for 38 gameweeks in total; so heaps of ups and downs to go for all of us. Comparisons-wise, there are now all up 5,671,214 fantasy players in this comp world-wide.
Congrats therefore to everyone - just keep it up!

And now for the best part: we each get to do it all over again effective each new gameweek.

Just try to remember, the big thing is to try and get your team research done reasonably early, with transfers etc done before the first game of every round to get the best chance of more points.

If he can't find a new club in the next 3-4 weeks I can't see how Australia can take him to the World Cup

WOW!! This week’s results have good news and good news!

First off, the league’s top places are still the same.

But in equally positive news, our league now has 4 teams who are in equal positions on the table, in equal 3rd place, if you like. Now that is interesting, being so close and still with a lot of games to go.

And even all the other teams are close enough to also fit in the picture as we leave the Christmas period behind.
So all this means is that everyone has a shot – so just go for it!

Still, results are verging on crazy, so unpredictable are the results. And our league managers are really up there with the better results of the overall world participants, so great work everyone!

VAR has taken another step towards being used at the 2018 World Cup , it was used for some games during the last round of the FA Cup and officials were impressed supposedly

But how crazy is this , why use it at some FA Cup games and not others ??

With the new manager being a short term proposition I can see Cahill going. I doubt BVM will care what happens after he leaves and will select the best 23 players for now. I think Cahill will fit in with the physical style of football he will look to play. Apart from his goal scoring, Cahill's next best attribute is how hard he likes to go into a challenge.

Ensured direct qualification from the same federation as us. Does that mean he is at least a step up from what we had?

There were other candidates around, however he would have 1st hand knowledge of the national side (as opposition coach)if not the players below, and probably was not asking as much as some of the big names.

Unless he takes Australia deep into the knockout phase, he is in a no win situation.

I think quality wise our group has gone backwards quite dramatically in the last 6-8 years

Saudis haven't improved but haven't gone backwards either
