Softness returns

Weeks of hard effort, restoring faith in fans, taken away with what we always do before every bye.
Soft through the middle like paper.

We have lost 3 out of our last 4 and most fans were upbeat, appreciating the effort with an understrength team. But tonight our middle was weak and that resonated through the team.

Good effort by Laurie and Naden, two players I have previously criticised.

The rest soft.

Luciano hasn't tried for weeks.

Hastings needs to learn when to come up and when to slide, his decision making in defence causes all sorts of problems. Roberts was able to shut it down with his speed and new found effort, but Toa couldn't. We need Roberts back asap going off his early season form in defence.

The ref, well disgraceful, but we made Havili look like Gordon Tallis, so we can't blame the ref.

It's weird we had this kind of game when key players returned. The ref didn't help by any means but the Bunnies took advantage of calls going their way.
I'm not going to cut my wrists after this. I still feel there is change in attitude and commitment and that will pay off in the long term. Bye next week - wonder if Sheens will paste the score on the shed door.

The technique and attacking structures have improved. Their is upside. But if your middle goes backwards then might as well not turn up

Unfortunately...this is all true.

And affects our recruitment also as the core of our pack have done this way, way too often.

To'a or Kepaoa out and AD in. Brooks is really having a go. It's not just his effort either. He is one of our better players.
While I don't think tonight was one of Brooos best games, I do agree he puts in. There was one set in the 2nd half where were being rolled easily again and Brooks came in from 5/8 and made 3 heavy tackles in a row. He left his spot defensively knowing it was worth the risk. It was obvious he thought our forwards weren't having a go and tried to swing some momentum our way.

Say what you want about Brooks, but he has more heart then anyone.

Ad, Nofo, Liddle and Roberts in.

Liddle was missed.

To a Simpkim and Kepoa out.

Honestly, I'm numb and don't know where SH came from. Goal line defence 1st very good.

Was disappointed in Stef and Musgrove, didn't stand up to them.

Not giving up yet. Maybe too many guys not having consistent game time lately due to injury so they ran out of puff.
