Some good news

I've been informed today Brooks and Moses have been given the all clear by Taylor to play footy…play what they see ...When they think something is on they can go for it.
This is somewhat of a PR/membership exercise re: 2016 = Brand recovery.
They want people interested again even if the results aren't positive...they're looking for some X-factor style footy to get the punter back involved and some positive talk.
I hope it's on the money.

Wow… and here I thought they were playing tiddlywinks all season

With all of our financial worries, something positive would be to start playing some winning or at least, attractive, football. This would help to bring a few dollars into our shipwreck, so good news indeed.

I hope they take advantage of it and kill it against the donkeys

Very interesting. It does seem strange though that Taylor would perform a huge back flip like this. Was his hand forced from the powers above? Or has he realized our current game plan is massively failing. Either way I hope the info is on the money.

A bit of unpredictability…and less structured stuff might get people interested again
Many have lost interest in them and their boring predictable.footy

That is good to hear. Just hope the forwards can lay a platform for them otherwise we'll get murdered. Our defensive line-speed needs to be aggressive too!

Good news indeed, if it has legs. I've been posting about the lack of enjoyment watching us play for months, and our halves being hamstrung since prior to the first dogs game, so looking forward to seeing some footy being played.

If true it has taken Taylor a long time to come around to the fact our two halves were born into attacking football. Let's hope they still remember how to attack the line. Also let's hope our team remembers how to play positive football and also how to win.

It's the forwards that need the green Ingot not the halves. Brooks and Moses can't do anything unless the forwards are going forward and getting offloads. No use saying go for it Luke and Mitch but give them nothing to play off the back of.

Too true. Wonder if this also means Lodge is back in the 17 & actually allowed to offload?

Its taken Taylor over half a season to realise his robotic style of play is not working, but to make two changes in one week would be beyond him, so a probable no to your question.

Let's hope it's true. If they're allowed to cut loose and actually flourish, it could make WT an attractive option for off contract players. That would be nice

Im more interested to see what happens with Brooks and Moses when you add Tedesco to the mix. They've all played enough first grade together, with JT letting them off the leash, let's see if they're the real deal or just NYC hype.

Sounds like BS to me.

I will believe that when i see it.

Will not be surprised when i see the 5 hit up mid field bomb combo executed 23 times.

It is amazing how a piece of individual brilliance can lift a team and have players punching above their weight. Brooks is the key here. If he takes on the line we look so much better. Our forwards can lay a platform but can also be inspired by our halves to perform. We know Teddy will give 100% we just need to rest to follow!

right…......and then what? what happens next year?

Playing flamboyant footy has worked 3 times in the last 11 years, not real good, but the current framework of the NRL just does not appear interested in allowing that style of play, hence the apparent need for change.

Do we go back to plodding football in the hope that the team can start playing like the Storm or Roosters or do we throw everything they were trying to achieve this year to the wind?

Whilst it might garner some interest for the rest of the year................it all seems rather short sighted............and isn't that something the club is trying to get away from?

Poor bastards are on a hiding to nothing now. Fancy giving them a free reign against the Broncos. We get our arses kicked and everyone will come down on them like a tone of bricks,
Hope that's not the case but we all know how this forum works !
