Some good news

Sounds like BS to me.

I will believe that when i see it.

Will not be surprised when i see the 5 hit up mid field bomb combo executed 23 times.

Careful, the true believers will hunt you down, this 5 hit up mid field bomb is teaching us to get away from our sloppy past, I don't buy it, and I certainly don't like it, lets pray for an attacking licence.

Damage control to save a few memberships next season if true. Too bad the board didn't step in when it could have mattered.

Sounds like they are starting to get a bit worried.

Marina Go on record supporting Taylor, next minute mr structure Taylor supposedly changing things up.

Untiil we actually see a noticeable change to his style im going to put this down to more talk and spin.

If this was true it would be very poor form by the board and reeking of self interest. Like it wasn't an issue when we were still in contention for the 8, but now with the spoon looming due to this incredible tactic and fans backlashing and threatening to trash their memberships, it's now that the board has an interest in our results.

I will believe it when I see it although I highly doubt he would change tactics this late in the year after all the shit he dribbled about structure every week until now. Plus he seems like the most stubborn person ever….

The change in tactics the last few weeks have been interesting from the club.

It's clear a few are under pressure

I just hope that whatever we do isn't just a reaction plan rather than a view on how the team is going shape and play for years to come.

Lodge and the other forwards must be given some aggression and offloading 2nd phase reign as well for Mitch in particular to really start turning things up a notch.

It's a funny way to do things … One week the switch goes on and the boys have a free reign and the next week it's off and we're back to risk averse .... This on again off again can't do the players any good.

With all of our financial worries, something positive would be to start playing some winning or at least, attractive, football. This would help to bring a few dollars into our shipwreck, so good news indeed.

A bit of unpredictability…and less structured stuff might get people interested again
Many have lost interest in them and their boring predictable.footy

Yep. I would add that the footy that we have been playing under JT is footy that loses you games over the course of a season and longer. It might jag you a win here or there if the other team is terrible or has an off night but its not the footy that will win you the comp.

I really hope we start to play some positive footy going forward.

If it's true FFS! We're onto page 3 of responses based on a supposed, possible, alleged bit of inside info from someone.

Yeh, it is NEWS…. Rupert Murdoch style. Don't bother to see if it's true. Just get people talking about it and it will become a story in itself.

I despair.

Moses needs that second phase play to really look dangerous. He's not big enough to break a straight line of defence so broken play is where he will thrive. He can then use his speed and footwork to bust lazy forwards. That's why he probably looked more dangerous at fullback because he had time to move and pick whether to run or pass.

It is NOT a directive from the board.

It is simply that we have peaked in our defensive structures. Now that we have mastered the JT structure it is time to now concentrate on attack.

I give it 2 games from now and we will be unstoppable. Crunching defence and scintillating attack. Personally, I can't wait!

I've been informed today Brooks and Moses have been given the all clear by Taylor to play footy…play what they see ...When they think something is on they can go for it.
This is somewhat of a PR/membership exercise re: 2016 = Brand recovery.
They want people interested again even if the results aren't positive...they're looking for some X-factor style footy to get the punter back involved and some positive talk.
I hope it's on the money.

hope your info is correct at least we will play football even if we lose

Very interesting. It does seem strange though that Taylor would perform a huge back flip like this. Was his hand forced from the powers above? Or has he realized our current game plan is massively failing. Either way I hope the info is on the money.

Maybe the press may not have been the only people that Marina was talking to this week, I can't see Taylor backing down on his game theory, without a shove.
He's talked it up so much

It'd be nice to see a repeat of the surprise thrashing the boys gave Canterbury last season  It was about this time of the year too - I remember because I was in Darwin at the time.

If true it's not a bad ploy in terms of getting bums on seats and interest in the club by giving people entertaining football to watch. I guess it depends on results, if games are won then it will be persisted with, if not they can always go back into their shell again. :bulb:

It sound like James Tedesco has adopted a positive attitude. His comment in today's DT is " I am not going to Brisbane to lose." I hope that all WT players and supporters have that same attitude for Sunday and the remaining matches this year.
