Some innovative ideas you'd like to see Madge trial

Also centres to cut back inside more and look to link with back rowers.

2 passes of the ruck to the 5/8, who skips across field dragging the defender with him. Assuming there is no overlap, the centre cuts back in behind the 5/8 into a gap or feeds a short ball inside to a barnstorming 2nd rower.

a fast player… our fastest atm would be either thompson, brooks or Mbye

Brooks by a mile in my opinion , I'd reckon he'd put at least 3 yards on any other player in the side over a 100

1\. Refrain from playing a hooker on the bench.

2\. Robbie to stop making a razzle dazzle play or kick on the 5th. Just stop. Find a half.

3\. Kick more conversions.

brooks out ran Morgan, and Thompson out ran gagai i think

Forwards doing the grunt work instead of the backs.

Robbie to pass the ball in attacking positions rather than look for his glory options. If he fails to do, fire him or call a firing squad

Going to be very interesting how different Madge manages our metre eaters

I hope that Madge can get Brooks to work some magic when it comes to the 5th tackle in the opposition red zone…..

The big thing is as long as they are all on the same page on the 5th tackle , and that has always been my concern with Robbie and Benji , at times it looked like the all 3 had a different option in mind

Not really innovative, but I want to see the forwards hit the advantage line and run it forward with some purpose. Defense this year was a huge turn around, but our inability to put points on was embarrassing. I'd like to see us making more yards up the middle and giving the backs a bit of space to roam free. I'd like to see Marsters get some early ball with some space and a few more set plays around Mbye. Our backline was underutilised this year, hopefully that improves a bit next year.

I posted this during the season but I want to see Esan running lines at speed - like he did for NZ, instead of always trying to jink at the line.

I think we should be sending our fast blokes up the middle. Liddle, Brooks, Mbye with Reynolds in support. Some inside/outside passing, Brooks running wide but grabbers infield for Mbye etc.

And more 2nd phase play. We have plenty of blokes capable of an offload, ie. Matulino, ET, Matterson, Marsters, Eisenhuth. Make the hard yards & then keep the ball alive when the opposition are on the back foot.

We don’t have that electrifying pace out wide to run around teams but we can still split sides open doing the above.

Play to our strengths & keep improving our D.
