Awesome team

That backline is totally out of position, and it seems you will believe almost anything you read.

There has to be better value back rowers to choose from, esp a few that are currently performing well in the Nrl comp.

Besides I think we're looking good in the forwards for 2012/13….woods, keithy, Fulton, bell, Blair, bmm, moors, cashmere, anasta all add something in their own way.

Surely we have something better to spend $800k on

He did meet with the tigers but only wants a 1 year contract, train one day a week, be allowed to box and be the highest paid player in the game. (this is not a gee up). If he comes back to league I don't think all those wishes will be granted.

Under those conditions tigers shouldn't sign him. But if he was to be reasonable he would be the best signing we will have ever made. He is a supreme athlete and outstanding footballer. If he stayed in the game he would be the best player to have played the game bar maybe Andrew johns.

This about sums him up for me. He has the potential to be a great player but is he really worth the drama.

As John McEnroe says…. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
He hasn't played league since 2008 and wasn't even the best secondrower then - let alone best player.
Since then he's played centre and wing in union (played off the bench for the All Blacks ,mainly because of the publicity value,on the wing)
Apart from that he's punched out a few overweight bums in the ring (no pun intended).
How that makes him the best player the game has ever seen I can't fathom.
I suppose you think Anthony Mundine is the best fighter the world has known?
The guy has got no reasons to ask for any special treatment - he should be happy some people still take him seriously with a vermin manager like Nasser in control of him.
Which also makes you wonder who is touting him around - Nasser is not a registered player agent.
How anyone would consider SBW anywhere near Ellis as a player OR a man is beyond me.

yeh, tell him to go jump. he's good, but not that good.

regardless of how good a player he is, or oculd be.
he will be remembered as the bloke who walked away from the bulldogs mid season.

how do any if us know, if if was to come to wests-tigers, he would not do it again.

Don't we have a contracts section for a reason? Stop spamming the Tigers forum with all these ridiculous topics that already exist in the proper subs.

You highlighted the sentence but managed to somehow still screw up. It says If he stayed in the game he'd be one of the best ever. Obviously he left the NRL years ago as you mentioned. See what happens when you try and carry on you embarrass yourself.

I don't think he'd fit in under our ego cap

heh, nah, a great player but you'd suspect his mind would always be elsewhere

and those conditions are madness, if true

Am I engaged in a battle of wits with an unarmed person?
Embarrassed?
On the contrary - I did preface it by saying he wasn't even the best secondrower playing when he left the game and chronicled his less than stellar playing career since then.
You inferred that he is a supreme athete blah , blah , blah and made the assumption that if he stayed in the game he would be better than anyone bar Johns.
I simply disagreed and gave reasons why .
Believe me - if you think shooting down the Sonny Bill myth or even misconstruing your post (if I had) would embarrass me you've got the wrong person.

Great. Now Sheens is being abused for something he hasn't done and in all probability wouldn't have done.

I agree with you Yoss.
All the pot shots being taken at Tim Sheens, :bash :unamused: is getting to be a bit boring, more like a record being played with a scratch on it. :rant

I Agree give him a brake he is not the Australian or Tigers coach for no reason. As if he dose not have our teams best interest at heart.. Go Sheens, go the Tigers !!!!!

Where is the abuse???? The pro Sheens ticket holders are getting very touchy these days. I would have thought it was a little light hearted banter, didnt see any abuse

It was more a reflection on how anti-Sheens posters will work a pot shot in to every damn thread… I don't regard myself as pro or anti Sheens but it just gets a bit repetitive after a while especially when the entire post was an attack on Sheens. There are more than enough threads explaining how Tim Sheens has directly caused the downfall of civilization...

If you find the word abuse too strong I'm happy to substitute another - it doesn't change the tone of my post.

Yeees…lets chat about signing SBW.. or Quade Cooper..or Billy Slater..or Anthony Mundine..I bypassed the idle chat ..but I would suggest that Billy Slater is the only one who would play in his rightful position if they were all with us.
