Sonny's Back

To be honest i would rather have a brown snake loose in my house at least you know that it cant be trusted and must be got rid off. With sbw he will say he is loyal but walk out on the the club, team mates and fans first time a better offer comes along.

ahh the good old reliable Telegraph, if anyone checked the sydney morning herald there article on this is completly different

The figure being bandied around for SBW is 800K

Everyone still keen ??

nup… Thats big overs in my opinion!

_"While Gyngell is no longer on the Roosters board, the Nine chief executive is an influential supporter of the club and is close to Politis. Williams has a contract with Nine and the broadcaster used him to promote last year's Rugby World Cup coverage."_

How good is Politis... SBW is already signed to Ch9 so any 'top-ups' by Nine wont be considered 3rd party or Salary Cap!!!

Why are we debating something thats not gonna happen? he'll never be at the Tigers so its pointless argueing hypotheticals IMO

SBW returning to Rugby League**

Good start to the year for moi - I'm feeling like a sage now

Next prediction: Big push for Buderus for SOO after NSW lose the first game :unamused:

Also saw on Anasta's Twitter account that he is not planning on retiring at the end of the year so that could throw a spanner in the works for the Chooks.

No chance ant anywhere above 400k.

That the figures mentioned in the nine msn story Spartan

I agree with you but the Roosters are desperate and desperate people do desperate things , especially when they are already rorting the cap

Guidelines are redefined by the misguided at times, sickening all the more reason to beat them if it happens.

Ha ha ha ha ha! You're a real card, Happy - you ought to be dealt with :sunglasses:

Roosters need to have their heads checked for signing him if its for what has been reported 800k a season.

Back to their old ways by the looks

Who really cares about this mercenary (or as a BSB Summer Edition caller called him a MISSIONARY) bring him on so Mr Ellis can SMASH HIM!

I m not one to start rumours but I have heard today that he is and has signed with the chooks for 2013…. Looks like the Dogs & Chooks round one 2013

SBW is a 'freakish' talent ? you learn something every day. Conrad Smith must be God then ?

Do you not think SBW is amazingly talented?? I think he is outstanding. Ball in hand he is almost unstoppable

Conrad Smith does all the little thing better, especially off the ball, but in terms of raw ability, SBW is one of the most amazing footballers I've seen, (fot players of his type, it impossible to compare Andrew Johns to Arthur Beetson and so forth)

Given the All Blacks potency everywhere, Conrad offered more stability than SBW. TBH you could not go wrong either way.

SBW has many flaws off the field, but on the field he is dynamite.

I heard a great email read out on the BSB, the basic tone of it was SBW should never be allowed to in the NRL and listed half a dozen well reasoned arguments, than finsished by saying unless he comes to Tigers (cant remember who the emailer supported) in that case he should be welcomed back with open arms.

Pretty funny and I reckon it is how most fans feel, i reckon I could justify him being welcomed back if we signed him
