QLD played brilliant in patches but that was far from their best. That was NSW best chance for a win this series.

i thought dugan went well considering. soward, no good went missing in attack and offered little along with young and ennis. qld were just rolling set play after set play and putting on some brilliant moves, nsw's attack looked very out of sorts. with the 1, 6, 7 and 9 nsw have did anyone think there were many points in them? the business of milking penalties is pointless in origin coz the refs put their whistles away, it aint club footy.

NSW are team that are full of runners and kickers but no ball players. The team needs someone who can put doubt in the QLD defence when they have the ball in their hands. Not one NSW player can do that.

Yeah, Mitchell Pearce as a SOO halfback just doesn't do it for me. He's been talked up like he's some sort of Andrew Johns or Alfie Langer, but he's pretty average really IMO. If he's the best halfback option we have, then NSW are really in trouble. I'm not keen on Mullen either, so I don't know who else they could choose.

Nothing wrong with Pearce out there tonight. He didn't get much of a platform laid by his forwards, and NSW had no ball. Chopping and Changing half the side will only hurt them, as later on in the game they actually started to look pretty smooth in attack, hence the 2 tries, only some nervous plays in the first half stunted their attack, which experience will cover. A lack of patience in the selection room is what hurts the Blues, there's simply too much pressure on them to beat a side which is clearly better than them. The fact a side containing Slater, Thurston, Lockyer, Smith and Cronk had nearly 60% of possession with lots of that on our line and only came away with 3 tries says a lot.

I thought Pearce went fine too, but he may need someone more creative at 5/8 than Soward, in saying that I'd be happy for Soward to be given another go, but they should be using him properly and what he brings to the table; his kicking game, which wasn't happening in the first half.

Qld line speed is far faster than NSW That will have a lot to do with it also
