Explain this to me ...Qld unexpectedly win a Game 1 of a series and then it becomes open season on our play makers .....Frizzell hit Munster mid air and then slings him into the ground ...and it's play on

When is a NSW player gonna do something bad enough to get sent off or be called up on an illegal tackle

If that was Papalii on Cleary or Tedesco and it wasn't penalized you wouldn't hear the end of it

There was nothing wrong with it. Whinging again.

Sutton gave Qld enough legs up when Haas was binned. Friend should've gone too for starting it.

Not whinging at all .....Munster was in the air when Frizell made contact watch it again

Your selectors have got caught out telling players to belt players in SOO ask Geyer

I'm glad you are not whinging, you singing that filthy yippy yi ay song either though.

How could I ...the NSW ref gave the nod and a wink to the NSW coach ...magically our best player gets taken out 2 minutes in and probably won't be available Game 3

Own it ...you blokes cheat like you do everything else

You could have had three Munsters and you wouldn't have won.

Wow he literally turns game 1 after HT on it's head .... ok ...now I'm just feeding the troll

Listen Hap, We put up with your Yippy crap in Game I. (and for 8 series)

It's out turn, if you dish it out, you have to be able to take it.

And I will ..once you admit that Munster was in the air when he gets swung head 1st into the turf

And then admit that no NSWmen has been sent off in a SOO game and then think back on some of the stuff that has happened ...Les Boyd ...Peter Tunks ...Peter Kelly......Mark Geyer

Name a Qlder who has purposely taken out a NSW player in Origin

Head first into the turf??? Bit dramatic, he landed on his back.

So he was obviously faking ...next ...own it ...cheats

It was game over once Munster was gone ...nice way to win an Origin series ...goes back to my original point ..what happened to the rule when we supplied our referees to away games

Funny how rules are made to suit NSW .....again

Seriously @happy_tiger that was like literally last century. I think the game has changed a fair bit since then.

Like an old shirt ...it comes back into fashion ....I can't believe that as football fans no one will admit Munster was hit mid air and taken out .....Cleary's kicking game was perfect bar one ...the one to take out Munster

What a way to win an Origin series ...gutless ....that's what it is

Munster landed in his feet. Fell backwards into his back and head hit the ground

Even uncle Wayne Bennett thought it was an accident

No damage to Munster was done when he was in the air. Frizell swing him down after he landed. Maybe should’ve been a penalty but that’s it

Probably because he wasn’t.

Cleary’s kicking game is and was horrible close to the line. He’s a one trick pony in that regard. Very poor bombs that applied absolutely no pressure that resulted in hand-overs and no repeat sets.

Happy, you forgot Steve Roach's 2 king hits on Bob Linder.

The first was in 1986, game 1. With regard to your point about referee's not taking action against NSW players, the following article notes:

"Hardly anyone saw Roach’s blatant king-hit but the talented Lindner certainly felt it.

**Roach was not penalised, cited or suspended, leaving many to wonder whether one set of rules applied to Origin football and one to club football.**

The hit is rarely mentioned in Origin retrospectives but Wayne Bennett, who took over as Queensland coach in 1986, was furious."

The second king hit, in game 2, 1988 was even worse. I was outraged at this one - it was such a dog of an act. What made it worse was that I support QLD and the Magpies. I lost all respect for Roach after that. But at least he was penalised.

Mate, all good, I'm just opening another beer (a real one), feel free to keep whinging, it is what Qld'ers do best.

By the way to answer your question:

Craig Greenhill/Paul Harragon, Game 2, 1996. Sydney Football Stadium.

Queensland’s Greenhill became the first player sent off in an Origin match when he took out Paul Harragon with a high tackle in the 62nd minute.

Queensland referee David Manson quite rightly had no hesitation in sending Greenhill off.

The rugged prop was suspended for four weeks and might have been lucky it wasn’t longer. In today’s game he would have been looking at 12 weeks.

I was at that game, pissed down. Off you go knuckles!! Now how would a good cleanskin get the nickname of knuckles??

Bit different ....if it was Johns and 2 minutes into the game ....

Was Munster gonna score 24 points on his own? Munster being there wasn’t gonna change the fact The forward got dominated and that Capewell couldn’t make a tackle

I was surprised it wasn’t a penalty on Frizell but don’t think it’s worse than that. Munster landed on his feet before falling back.

I hope he’s fit for game 3 so there’s no excuses from the cane toads when NSW flog them in their own backyard like Freddy said 50 mins into the game they decided they’ll win in it at Suncorp
