After reading that article if Lui wants to play games regards money then give him the flick.
He will be a better fit at Souths and we get a superior halfback who never gets a chance to play there - Moltzen.
For all you guys who think speedbump Lui is a better player then throw him in the centres then to fullbck then to wherever and see what you think then.

No idea.

Correct - you have no idea :blah

I think Lui putting talks on hold is a smart thing… I think any player who isnt off contract this year would be foolish to talk dollars until a few things are made clearer in regards to IC, TV Rights & Salary Caps.

It is smart by Lui's manager. However the Tigers must sign him up to a long term deal (if Sandow is worth so much, I hate to think what Lui is worth on the open market). Just put in a clause to allow him an increase if the salary cap goes up, I am sure Benji has such a clause in his contract.

Lui is a great player, but with Moltzen and Miller on the books I would not get in any dutch auction with his management team. I would offer him a good deal, remind him what the club did for him and say take it or leave it and we want a answer now

I just find it laughable that you say Lui is a speedbump – what is Moltzen then?

I am not saying Lui's defense is great, it is not. But it has clearly improved, and will continue to improve and if you can't see that you are watching a different game.

As for Moltzen being a "superior halfback", that is simply not true.

Is only an opinion regards who is the better half hybrid - but you have to admit Lui's one on one defence is pretty poor.

Lui is streets ahead of Moltzen in the #7\. He has a kicking game that we've lacked since Prince clocked off in 2005\. At least Lui would put his body on the line at fullback and back himself to take the line on.

Give Miller a year or two and he will be ahead of Moltzen as well.

You've got no idea. :crazy

His defense is not great but you can see it improving - and it is no worse than Moltzen's IMO.

Couldn't have said it better myself CB.

If you love Moltzen you will let him go.

He is wasted here at the Tigers.

He is beginning to sound like a pet not a footballer . Better not get hurt again Tim or you will have Forum members wanting you put down !!

My only concern about giving Tim a release, is we are pretty light on for backs. We seem to be churning out forwards but really light on for backs. Iam not convinced we have any standout backs coming through bar Miller. Could be wrong but I think we need Moltzen for his versatility if nothing else

What versatility? He is a good half, he's woeful at fullback and yet to prove himself in the centres.

Just because he has run on to the paddock in three different positions doesn't constitute as versatility.

Some of you blokes seem to take it personal when someone doesn't agree with you.
I'll let you on in a little secret - none of us know for sure if Lui will end up better than Moltzen or vice versa.
My point earlier was that Moltzen hadn't spent much time this year at half and had been forced to play all over the place - and I didn't think Lui would have done any better under the same circumstances.
To say that Lui would put his body on the line at fullback and back himself to take the line on is just a guess- how do you really know?
The forum is all about different peoples ideas.
If you don't agree with someone thats fine - argue your point.
Just to claim someone is wrong because they don't agree with you doesn't prove anything.

I had a good laugh at one of the breakdowns… Luke was pushing and shoving a few Tigers and then helped Moltzen up as if he was his boyfriend 😕

Timmy 'Choo Shoes' Moltzen might fit in at Redfern now it's very metropolitan...

I agree, Tim Moltzen has been filling in like a utility player.
not given the chance in being able to settle in one position.
saw the same happen to Dene Halatau, John Morris and Fitzy.
**ain't it the truth in relation to peoples views here on forum.**

Reading on another forum that, Moltzen his manager and Richardson are meeting tomorrow and we have already agreed to release him if he can get a better deal, also same forum said he was unhappy with Sheens because he was promised the no 1 for the year during pre season once he got back to full fitness.
