One day all and sundry will wake UP! Either the improved ANZ or BankWest are the only options moving into the next decade!
It is well over due that the club and its soft supporter base Realise the only clubs that will survive past the next decade are the ones that choice to play out of modern arenas ... play out of antiquated small suburban grounds at your peril and you will perish .
If this club and its supporter base want to be a power house of an organisation this is the only option ... the small minded thinking about CS and Leichhardt is just that these grounds are yesterday’s Swan songs ... do not be fooled about the Rosie factor that is put out by the broadcasters these parasites will though our club under a bus When the time comes .
If you want to be one of the big boys of the league play out of the modern stadia that has been provided other wise it will be thanks for the memories!

And who would rather sit in a soulless 3/4 empty modern stadium that holds 50k than stand on the hill at Leichhardt?

NOBODY!!

And who wants to have a team to support into the future EVERYONE

At the moment we probably aren't in a position to be bucking the wants of the NRL

@TIGER well probable people over 60 or persons with a disability but hey your all right ! This is the 21st century and our country is suppose to be first world and a place where all individuals can comfortably attend any venue ! I really do not think that a stadium that is 60 percent steeped turf fits the bill .. but that’s another story !

Corporates. GA for everyone standing on the hill at LO would not cover the the corporate income available at ANZ. Roosters are a successful club because they have money. Doesn't really matter about the average punter standing on the hill
Not defending the way of modern rl but you can't charge good money to stand on a bit of grass. Holding on to tradition may cost us a future

Thursday night games against a team not travelling well is not going to attract any more than 15,000 on a good day in Sydney. If the NRL were really interested in getting fans to games in Sydney they would schedule more games on a Sunday afternoon. The game is centred around the TV audience.
There will always be a place for suburban grounds for some games in Sydney it is important for clubs to maintain their links to the community and in terms of TV it presents better than an empty stadium.
Sydney is always going to be a different beast to the other teams. You lose your link to community and that spells out a lot more danger to survival than whether your team is playing at stadium every week imo.

Yes, I prefer ANZ.

I have been watching the posts on the Tiger's future ground. The clubs that have been well looked-after, which you all are aware of are:-
Roosters - Probably will be even better then Bankwest.
Parramatta - Best current ground right next to their licenced club which will be worth millions.
Penrith - They must be feeling a bit left out, as they paid for their ground (I think). the ground is way out-of-date, but right next to their licenced club.
Of all the posts I have read, only one (That I can remember) seems to consider the Wests licenced club. Wests Ashfield are very important to the future of Wests Tigers. If their future is to be considered, then I believe consideration must be given to using the 20,000 capacity Concord Oval, as it is the closest, available ground to Wests Ashfield.
By the way, Canada Bay Council are already on-side with our club, who are a worthy ally to have..

Concord is about to be turned into a $56m COE and community centre so I think that chance has past.

@cochise I thought the plan was to keep the playing field for rugby union , soccer and other sports. Maybe I am wrong?

The playing field will still be there but nowhere near 20000 seats.

Does anyone know -

Do parra train at BankWest?
Did Rorters train at Allianz?

Parra and Rorters train outside on fields provided Parra building COE not far away from
Bankwest

Unless you can fit a 40 000 seat stadium at Concord and link it with the COE , your 100% right

Tend to agree as well.
At the end of the day, ANZ is only 10mins down the road from Concord and offers the best facilities we're going to get.

@barra Don’t forget the new and improve Weststigers club at Flemington Markets buses running to ANZ and back packed with Tigers supporters and there is plenty of parking there . That would be attractive to many ! Always thinking ..

Anticipated low drawing games could be directed
to LO or CSS but when your on Guaranteed payment
to play at ANZ it wouldn't really matter as has been stated before the game is all about TV and having a world-class stadium to call home should out weigh the negatives
