Dark horse Rasengan, who finished 8th on the Star League ladder, have shocked the Fantasy Rugby League world by defeating the Vanilla Gorillas by 28 points in one of the Prelim Finals.

In the other Prelim Final the Campbelltown Angels defeated Team Schmoo by 18 points. Campbelltown will take on Rasengan in the 2009 Star League Grand Final.

I honestly thought my Angels would take on your Monkeys, oops I mean Gorillas, in the Grand Final.

Rasengan only just made the top 8 and has flown under the radar. He is on my radar now.

Yesterday the Campbelltown Angels won the 2009 Star League Grand Final. Rasengan never looked in the game and the Angels gave them an 80 point thrashing. The final score was Campbelltown Angels 342, Rasengan 262\. The victory gives the Angels their second premiership in 3 years.

Campbelltown Angels coach, Alien, was over the moon after the Grand Final.

"We worked hard all year and put alot of time and thinking into our game".

"We learnt from last year to save alot of trades for the run home and it paid off".

"We have learnt more tactics this year and they will be used next year".

"I am also looking forward to having Diggaz Dynasty in Star League, the elite competition, next year".

"Diggaz Dynasty are the team that won the Star League Premiership in 2008 and we would like to get our revenge".

STAR LEAGUE NEWS

There is currently an investigation of an incident that happened inside a western sydney niteclub in the early hours of this morning. Players from Star League team _Porkchop_ are believed to be involved in a brawl with players from Skando Shield side _Xeks_. No more information is available at present.
Meanwhile the Campbelltown Angels are still celebrating their Premiership victory on an island in the Pacific.
Star League team _SWB_ went on an end of season trip to Bermuda but it appears they didn't arrive in Bermuda and their families and friends are have been unable to contact them. More news when available.

STAR LEAGUE BREAKING NEWS

The Campbelltown Angels players and coaching staff are back home and safe in Sydneys south west. Supporters of the Campbelltown Angels knew the players went on a holiday on a Pacific island but wasn't sure which one. When the news of the tidal waves was reported on the news supporters feared the worst.

"We were all asleep when it happened" said Campbelltown Angels coach Alien

"lucky for us our rooms were on the top floor in the place were were staying at"

"the rooms in the lower floors were flooded with water"

"we are now happy to be back home and we will now take it easy for the rest of the year"

Meanwhile half a dozen players from Skando Shield team Xeks have been fined by their club $10,000 each for starting a brawl in the early hours on Tuesday morning with Star League team Porkchop.

In other news, players and coaching staff from Star League team SWB are still missing. They were on their way to Bermuda for their end of season trip but they are believed to have gone missing somewhere in the Bermuda triangle on their way to Bermuda. All contact was lost and they still haven't been found.

Are you keeping the same name as last time? This year Star League is going to use the NRL Dream Team I think. There are some pretty cool prizes.

With the NRL Dream Team there is also a pretty cool team logo tool. I have designed my team logo but to save it you have to press the 'print screen' button on your keyboard. Then open up Paint and Paste. Then use the 'free-form select' button to circle around your team logo that you designed and then copy the logo. Then open a new Paint page and Paste, and then save it.
