This is not like Seven Samurais (another Kurosawa classic) and Magnificent Seven. Both great films but the latter was clearly "lifted" from the former.

Sanjuro was the sequel to Yojimbo, I assumed "For a few dollars more" was based on it. I've not seen the sequels for to a fistful of dollars so I just came to that assumption.
Seven Samurai is one of my all time favourite movies. I am still trying to get my wife to spend three and a bit hours watching it with me.
