Starford To’a #253

TBH the Journalism work from NRL reporters these days is just a pure joke and embarrassment. They see things on forums or social media and just make a big deal over it and its mainly Tigers stuff as we seem to be their main source of income.

I know winning stop this to some degree, but it never stops.

Can look at this two ways ....

1 - he's spoken highly of Benji, has been supported by the club through his injuries, has a good clique of friends in the club, playing career best footy.
or
2 - he's managed by Daniel O'Loughlin of Wassermanns who I don't believe is a great advocate of our club to his clients. He manages Stefano, say no more.
His agent got him here in the first place so he cant be too dismissive of us

No journalistic embelishment to be found here.

If To'a was to leave, the club would survive.

If it's even worth the time spent thinking about the article.

You dont seem too fussed either way chad
Id hope we really can hang onto him hes and important part or our 3/4 line and is forming a great r/ship with tito
I'd like to keep him.

But I think our centres are at BEST 'good'.

Makasini coming through looks promising. Taylan May is likely an upgrade. Maybe Cobbo enters the conversation...

I'm not convinced players like To'a are success defining players.

Don't get me wrong- I'd rather he stays. But if he left, I'm not chilled to the bone.

Makansini is a few years off NRL level to be fair and we can't just keep saying "we have juniors" when we have qualify NRL talent already playing for us.

Toa has proven himself this year and I understand why he'd want to test the market.

But it is important we retain him.
