Thought Toa had a fair game first game back against Canberra.
Still not sure why he was signed until end of 2028 at around 500k

Cause we dont have real depth in the centres

I thought that for the once in a blue moon decent performance Starford puts in that he was the depth and surely 500k is not the price we paid.

When are we signing the consistent NRL standard centre to fill that right side position?

If Star regains his early 2025 form our backline will go up a gear. Clearly has talent, body lets him down but look at AD. I truly wish Star a well deserved run of fitness and form.

I think he will be fine, didn’t show a lot but didn’t really need to. Will only improve with more fitness under his belt

Thought he was good in his first game back - defended well, ran hard and if Douehi was capable of passing to a centre he would have scored 1 or 2 tries (Doeuhi does lots of great things but a short pass left to right just isnt one that exists for him).

I thought To'a was fine on Thursday. Just did his job. Doesn't need 10/10 performances each week, just keep doing his role and hopefully start to chime in with some of the attack.

Big test next week against Sharks left side attack and Iro, but I don't see anyone else I would prefer to mark up against him tbh. I back To'a to keep building on his game and to lock down that right centre spot for the rest of this year.
