OFFICIAL Starford To’a #253

Thought Toa had a fair game first game back against Canberra.
Still not sure why he was signed until end of 2028 at around 500k
Cause we dont have real depth in the centres
I thought that for the once in a blue moon decent performance Starford puts in that he was the depth and surely 500k is not the price we paid.

When are we signing the consistent NRL standard centre to fill that right side position?

I thought To'a was fine on Thursday. Just did his job. Doesn't need 10/10 performances each week, just keep doing his role and hopefully start to chime in with some of the attack.

Big test next week against Sharks left side attack and Iro, but I don't see anyone else I would prefer to mark up against him tbh. I back To'a to keep building on his game and to lock down that right centre spot for the rest of this year.

What a shocker. Last week. Can someone with a smarter football brain than me - tell me - what he brings to the team apart from being born in the same place as his coach.

I love being wrong. Bring it on people.

When he's not limping around he is decent defensively. Makes reasonable decisions and performs well in the system. He is good at setting up his winger, although Doueihi will never give him the opportunity to see this happen. If you set him up a 2 on 2 situation he is very hard to stop.

He's a solid first grader, can be great on his day, most days he's just filling space without doing anything special. Can't really recall many times I've been frustrated over his performance other than the ones where he was injured and therefore had a low work rate.

Right now when we have star power on the park, we just need guys like Star to do their role. Don't need them to be superstars when we have AD, Bula, Samuela, Luai, Tiny who can create havoc.
