Start looking to next year folks

Adding too many young players to a side at once is tantamount to sporting suicide. Then if they get off to a bad start individually or as a unit, its all downhill from there and very hard to reign back. If MM doesn't recover from his hammy strain I would like to see him replaced with Groat but I cant see Fulton not getting a start.

Even with no Thurston and Tonga they are still a better side than Parra and the away trip is a lot harder to Townsville than Parramatta Stadium

If we lose against the cowgirls it's season over for me and time to select next years team and omit those who are leaving!!

I recon we have the personel, Its just going to come down to how we play on the day. How well we execute and attidude. All we need is a couple of wins and all the negative stuff goes away. Go the tigers.

I wonder if the Knights, at home, with Mullen & Gidley returning thought this way too.

This is exactly how i see it.

IMO its just our execution that is letting us down! I reckon we created enough chances to beat Parra easily if the passes had stuck/ball had bounced etc etc.

Our defensive attitude is good, its just a matter of confidence and right options with the ball.

I think the Knights game might have been the rare Cowboys win without Thurston. Last week against the Eels, we created enough chances and line breaks to go in at half time with at least 20 points in front. I think this week against the Cowboys, things might stick a little bit. Lawrence was fantastic for his first game back and I think will be peeved with himself for some of those loose final passes. He will however be far better for the run. If Lui plays consitently like he did last week and McKinnon actually passes the ball when in space and has support, points may come. Believe it or not I think there were actually positives out of the Eels game. Lots of second man play and sweeping bacline movement and some off loads from the big blokes. With better ball security and completion rate, the Eels game would have been a cricket score in our favour. I am loathed to make predictions but here it is, Tigers to win against the Cowboys and not only that, to come home with a wet sail and not only make the 8 but to start to plant in some minds that they will also give the finals a good shake. I think if we are good enough to make the 8 we will be ragarded as the unpredictable dark horse team.

Simon I couldn't agree more, very well said.. So many times against parra if last pass sticks that game is a different story..
Also if McKinnon got a better bounce instead of post…. No luck!
Y on earth would a true supporter, a decent supporter look to next year? Our players r back with a utai and lote still to come and we r positioned 9th, a run home which is winnable, especially if a few small things in execution r improved (which they will be) with our players back I think we can very well win 6/8 games!
So u negative ppl see u next year, and u tigers SUPPORTERS see u at the games in 2011

Thankyou Tigerlogic for some positive stuff. I too saw good things out of last Friday night and at the risk of being panned by others whenever seeing good things even though we lost, I think that game will be the defining moment for us. Nothing is guaranteed particularly when it comes to the bounce of a football, but I think the Tigers showed last week that they are one game away from steamrolling a team and I have an inkling that this could come on Saturday night. Marshall looked almost back to his best with some good skill last Friday night, Lawrence and Lui looked sharpe as did McKinnon. That tackle he did to stop the Eels player 2 inches short of the line was remarkable. Love my Tiges through thick and thin. Sure there are times where if I had a dog I would probably want to kick it, but there's always next week and we're still in this. If the fans give up then what's the point.

I think some folks are just starting to despair a little, and are venting… and isn't that why there is a forum? So that people can air their opinions and vent their frustration?

And I can understand the frustration... It's been a tough year with injuries etc, and i'm starting to despair myself!

Here's hoping that our forwards can create some space this week and that Benji and Robbie can make the most of it... A win would do my poor little tiger heart some good.
