Let's not also forget he's currently second in our clubs history for most points scored in a NRL game. (26, almost beating the record set by Hodgson in 2005 of 30)

I think I will keep my opinion of Momo as I have before...great football brain and gives 100 percent and in the words of Bellamy who is a multiple premiership coach...""If Momo wasnt injured he would have been in the GF side""speaks volumes for the guy...

Wasnt it the storm chairman who said something like that?

It was Bellamy.

Fair enough, I missed that then.

There is a wealth to choose from in the Forwards but I think that the backline will look like this;

Mbye
Nofoslama
B Leilula
JTJ
Mansour
Laurie
Brooks

The Momo not being first grade standard comment is laughable. If you go back to the backend of 2019 he was probably our main strike weapon and scored something like 8 tries in 6 games...how quickly people forget.

He is ahead of AJ and Talau in my books....he’s only played 21 games due to injury so it remains to be seen if he has the ability to cement a spot but imo he’s well up there

I think Speed and attacking skills at FB are crucial. This is our weakest position and Mybe and others were awful.I think Laurie at 1 and hope Doeuihi can do a decent job.Long term maybe Laurie or another,Madden?

I really hope Talau kicks on this year! He has talent and a great finisher! Could use some sprint classes. Would love for the tigers to have a player that the whole competition froths over. Someone of the mold of staggs and s.crichton, genuine game breaker! I think out of all the young players we have atm, he’s the guy who is
most likely to kick on.

I also would to see him kick on ,but he'sa big boy and i see him in the 2nd row in time.

We will agree on one thing. He is ahead of Talau and AJ at this stage on paper.

My comment is no more laughable than you suggesting he was our main strike weapon at the end of 2019.

He was our go-to player more often than not....Watch all the tries he scored close to the line and they were no fall over tries

Like I said, 8 tries in 6 games and one of them included that absolute shocker he had v the dogs

If we took the advice of all the doomsayers,we will never sign anyone.Of cause there is no guaranties that the person you buy or the kid you promote will be a champion ,but you just can:t sit on your bum.Look at Pappas, Cotiric,Klokstad and another 20 odd players, who have gone to the top ,when given a chance. The tall poppie syndrome another guy posted was correct. Its healthy to be critical but you must have some optomism and not contiually looking for faults.

Yep agree he could certainly find the line, seemed tricky to handle. And has a good thinking head on the shoulders as well as kicks... may not have the blistering speed of others in the comp but I like him as a player.

He was consistent...can’t say the same about BJ and the Jet remains unknown. I’m excited to have Momo back

Are you serious about Momo how can you compare him to Roberts & Leilua who are both strike players & Momo is not he is only there for depth.

BJ was horrible this year but he still offers much more than Momo. Momo’s a plodder imo

I’d argue Momo’s stint with WT has been much more impressive than BJ’s

I think they’ve both been very underwhelming. But when BJ is in form he’s one of the most damaging centres in the game.

Keyword “when”

It remains to be seen if he can bring that form to the tigers, problem is he’ll either get sin binned twice, make 5 errors or score 3 tries and win you the game. No inbetween

And if that’s the case we go to market and go hard for someone like Staggs. Momo isn’t the answer.

Staggs would be a no brainer but I don’t think Momo deserves to be written off. He’s only played 21 games
