I watched them train this week and it's hard to tell exactly what's what because they train multiple combinations and still being early days, there's a lot of players going through the motions.From a punters observation and a bit of chat with the staff, I'm not sure if they think JTJ will be ready round one..AD and Momo both at 5/8 so with AD out for round 1 I'm assuming Momo has first shot. So I'm guessing Tommy will partner BJ with Nofo and AJ on the wings.Several players at fullback including Mbye, Momo, AJ, and a couple I didn't recognise. The forwards is a lottery but they all look sensational. Tamou was absent but Jesus they're a massive bunch. And lean. They could all start.

Momi’s a good shot at centre, JTJ looking more ready by the day though. Madden would be viewed as too risky for rd. 1 unless Madge is willing to possibly break a few eggs to turn our team into a good omelette.

Doueihi should definitely only play 5/8 or at a pinch centre this year. AJ definite starter, we only have Mbye at fullback, no depth

Apparently has a very sturdy and offensive boot.

Also has a very similar body shape and style to AD. It could be a to have continuity if AD is out . Especially when you think about the elite type players with this body shape and style . Wighton and Munster come to mind , and how much success they’ve had .

AJ gets the wing spot over Momo. Liddle starts and Simpkins to the bench. If we get a fullback somehow prior to the season starting Mbye moves to the bench and Simpkins misses out.

I'd probably give Brooks the 7 jumper. Madden is the interesting one. He isn't a big guy. I think he has some skills but is he worth risking at this stage of his career.

Madden---83kg, 180 height, Australian Schoolboys rep,NSW juunior rep, 20yrs old.I know these honours were as a junior but he must have talent to get those honours.He is a nifty half with a short kicking game,to me that means attacking skills,and thats what we lack.May not work , but putting square plugs in round holes did not work last year.

He played with Talau and Stefano aswell in those reps teams, actually i think talau was his halves partner but not ? sure

I think 1st round is best time to blood him due to our circumstances. Let’s face it every team round 1 is clunky, anything can happen. We beat the eventual premiers roosters in round 1 in quite possibly the most boring and error riddled game of footy I’ve seen

Also could be good for Books to be a mentor to the young guy.It might give Brooks a new perspective and sense of importance.

Biggest issue with Momo at 6 is how will he go having to make upwards of 30 tackles in a game

Still think I'd go Mbye at 6 Rd 1 .....
