1. Laurie
2. Noffa
3. J. Leilua
4. Roberts
5. Talau
6. Madden
7. Brooks
8. Twal
9. Liddle
10. Tamou (c)
11. Twal
12. L. Leilua
13. Ofahengaue

14. Mikaele
15. Simpkins
16. Utoikamanu
17. Musgrove

Twal looks in good shape, but this might be a bit of an ask coming off an injury...

What, playing in two positions?

That was the joke yes.
Although for the record, I don't think Twal should be anywhere near an Edge, would have to be the slowest player on the pitch in 95% of games. He would get skinned alive by most backrowers, let alone trying to wrangle a centre.
At a pinch we can use him at 13 but I think he should be our starting prop, play big minutes and allow our other props to go hell for leather in 25-30 minute stints.

Edited to have Blore on the edge.

I reckon his team is close pending Laurie

You're right, Twal should be nowhere near the edge

Yeah not far off, I'd love if we had 3 props on the bench but I'm not sure it will be 3 props and a hooker, more likely to carry Mbye at 14 than Simpkins if thats the case.

The club was informed to bring the most likely starters to the shoot, I believe the number they wanted was 14. The photo was taken with the players on the left hand side making up the left edge - Brooks, Garner, Roberts & Talau. The players on the right hand side making up the right edge - Nofoaluma, Doueihi, Luciano & BJ and the middle included the middle players - Tamou, Ofahengaue, Twal and Blore with Mbye (fullback) and Liddle (hooker) also in the middle with Madge.

It's a good indication of how the team will likely look and is consistent with what has been happening with training, however I wouldn't say that those players are a "lock" to start. Trials will be a big factor.

Just curious. Who was number 14 in the shoot?
Any concerns with a defensive side pairing of Lucy, Douhie, BJ and Nofo? The right side sounds a bit defensively weak.
Also arent Doehi and Brooks both left footers? I would be playing Brooks on the right, where he can play the open side and touch the ball across the whole field. Interesting though.

I guess they are hoping with Benji gone they can sure up their defence on that side.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Packer in the 17, in the latest video, he is seen training pretty hard.

Man that's some dangerous attacking combinations... if Brooks and Garner can get their combo working, plus having Roberts and Talau on their outside could be deadly. Other side has our three hardest to tackle players in Luc, Joey and Nofa and Doueihi who's got nice passing

Hopefully they can defend well as a unit because points should be flowing every game for us. Also seems like AJ Kepaoa is the odd man out in the back line for now - also no Momers there either.

Also seems like Blore is the fourteenth man as he was in the middle but is a second rower, could mean he's coming off the bench but will be still well involved.

Oh Mr Packer, our fearless decoy runner, averaging impressive 1" per run!

CCTW stated that was the team structure at this point.

Great side, only performance wise has shown Offa is farbetter in the front row.

Doueihi is a right footer.

Can only hope that it works out for both parties, but see the mere presence of a fit in both body and soul Roberts as potentially the biggest positive change for WT.

Not even for his personal contributions, just the interest that opposition defences will need to concentrate on him, which will likely open opportunities inside for the pair that you mentioned above. Momers can do his job, but doesn't create room for himself or others, let alone on his own side of halfway as well.
