State of Origin 2026

I said from the start there was nothing between the two teams on paper....Blues slighty ahead there perhaps

But on current form, which I think is far more important...the Qld team were far ahead, especially in the halves

Howeve Slater couldnt get them up last night, 47000 Qlders couldnt get em up...they were very poor across the park despite easily stripping NSW for numbers in the red zone numerous times
Quite embarrasing for Slater imo Daley getting a number over him...maybe he should just focus on a darker shade of maroon ..like purple
I think they thought hey just us to turn up, simple as that.
In their heads - they already won the series because Ponga shouldn’t have been sent (in their heads)
The didn’t fire a shot really…

Did Carrigan get out there, I don’t remember him at all… where as the bloke he replaced is in everything always, maybe that had an effect on them.

Who cares, it’s good to get a (very unexpected) win.

NRL random factor strikes again.

Glad they apologised, that makes me feel much better.
Firstly how good was it watching Cam the cheat Smith sooking about being jipped by the refs? He’s not out there to piss in their ear all game. Tissues for Cam please.
I did not know the bunker was not at the ground? I’m not sure that would make much difference to a blind referee anyway but I guess I just expected it to be at the ground. Why do they need a bunker if it’s not at the ground? I thought it’s was in case the crowd want to kill the refs and they could bunker down until the riot squad get there? Why waste money on a bunker they could just call it “The Room”

Lastly how good was it to see Cam The Cheat sooking about getting jipped?

Gotta disagree. NSW on paper has a much better team. It's a pitu they played so bad first two games.

Qld weren't poor yesterday. They scored 3 tries, Blues scored 5. One of them was a no try, one in 80th minute and then disallowed offside try.

NSW won the moments but Qld were always in it.

Moses long kicking game got them out of trouble when Qld was dominating.
LOL...so an 80 minute try is somewhat less worthy than one in the 60th ot 30th minute?
Talk about clutching.

Cobbos try was a flukey piece of luck if you wanna go there...
Qld were very poor at home with 47000 supporters behind them, when you compare them to game II in a neutral venue...they didnt aim up at all

Theres not much between them on papaer but on prior form Qld had them....until 8.05pm last nite

Every time I hear a Qlder complain about not getting a decision and losing a game - I think back to Inglis (a NSWelshman) dropping the ball over the line and being awarded a try…

Never heard them whinge about that one?

I hope all the Cleary doubters go away. Good tactic to get Moses to do long kicks and Cleary to do attacking kicks.

More premierships than anyone else, more origin points, origin wins, more big game wins. I have absolutely no idea what else this guy needs to do to still get bagged.
Cleary is the best player I have seen play the game.
When everything is on the line Cleary will win you the game, whether it's a Grand Final or an Origin game.
I said after the Panthers lost the Gf in '20 that they'd need a new category of immortal for the kid.

He's in the Super Golden Immortal category of which he's the only member.

Not getting him to Wests to join Ivan was the single greatest catastrophic failure of the Lee/ Pascoe regime.

That 20 minutes odd in the Grand Final that already had Brisbane celebrating victory, was a performance that had never been seen before and will never be equalled in the future. Nathan was playing at a level beyond any parameters of play imaginable.

Fox commentators annoy the hell out of me, until I am forced to suffer through a nine commentary and realise that maybe Fox aren’t as bad as I thought.
agree
Andrew Voss and his stupid constant jokes all game
Dan Ginnane and his cinstant yelling
then
we get nine and it makes fix look good

Warren Smith i think is the best commentator however poor bugger is sick

Nathan Cleary joins Peter Sterling and Andrew Johns with the most Man of the Match awards by a NSW player

How good to see Sterlo’s name come up, He doesn’t get the accolades that he deserves is still my favourite half back, Less games than the other 2 but equal man of match awards.
It’s why I don’t like the term IMMORTAL as I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one who rates other players in front of some of them.
Don’t get me wrong all the named immortals were great players in their era.

Onya Blues! I didn't expect that.

The NSW forwards were great. I haven't seen Yeo play with that kind of drive for a long time.
AFB and Haas constantly bent the line.
The second rowers were Dennis the Menace x 2. What a pair of troublemakers.
Cleary finally gained redemption, proving he can do it outside of the Riff system after all.
Moses's long kicking game was quality.
Best again showed that he is underrated.
Crichton had some big moments, and not so big.
The wingers were at least tall enough to force Qld to do more than just bomb the short guy.

After watching Tigers season go down the drain and the Aussie soccer team being knocked out, it's good that at least one our teams finally won something 😀🥳😎

There must be something in the water up in Queensland.

What a bunch of whingers. Fans, players, you name it.

They were clearly outplayed.

May the reign of Blue continue!

Lol no all tries are not the same in terms of importance.

Your point is that they were horrible and I don't think they were. There was a try in it other then goal kicking. Qld dominated for a long time until Moses's kick got them out.

NSW simply played to their potential for once.

They weren't horrible.. you wanna keep thinking that then go ahead.

On paper, I got the wingers, the centres, Cleary, Haas, Yeo and the backrowers better than their counterparts. I'm not talking about form now, I'm talking about form before Origin started.

I find it interesting with all the comments about last nights game that the NSW forwards where the difference between the teams,
The big boys Haas and Fonua-Blake particularly denting the line,
No criticism from the media about Billy’s decision to use his small forwards as replacements and not put Pat Carrigan on.
Through out the series Laurie has been hammered for his bench rotation.
Funny Billy doesn’t receive the same review.
