State of Origin to start at 9pm starting 2017, say Channel 9

Sorry for the bait-and-switch title.

When are Channel 9 going to be held accountable for these ridiculous start times? And never starting games on time? Good god. I'm falling asleep here.

I read that kick-off time is **8.17pm**. What? In what world does that make sense?

Sorry, this time for my incoherent rant.

reminds me GNR of Shoeless Joe Jackson

Joseph Jefferson Jackson (July 15, 1888 – December 5, 1951), nicknamed "Shoeless Joe", was an American outfielder who played Major League Baseball in the early part of the 20th century. He is remembered for his performance on the field and for his alleged association with the Black Sox Scandal, in which members of the 1919 Chicago White Sox participated in a conspiracy to fix the World Series. As a result of Jackson's association with the scandal, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, Major League Baseball's first commissioner, banned Jackson from playing after the 1920 season despite exceptional play in the 1919 World Series, leading both teams in a statistical category and setting a series record. Since then, Jackson's guilt has been fiercely debated with new accounts claiming his innocence beckoning Major League Baseball to reconsider his banishment. As a result of the scandal, Jackson's career was abruptly halted in his prime, ensuring him a place in baseball lore forever.

For future SOO games it should be a 7PM or 7.30PM start. No later and C9 should incur a heavy fine.

NRL just need to set a strict kickoff time and every minute that Ch9 delays it is an increasing fine for the network.
That'll solve it quick.

It said 8.17 was the kick-off, but at 8.17 NSW ran out. Then QLD came out about 2 minutes later. Then after the anthems, obviously channel 9 was holding crap up, so the teams were doing warm up drills. I think about 8.28 kick-off finally happened?

I went for a quick shave when QLD were in the sheds and they were still screwing round when I got back.

Well I watched master chef switched it at 8:21 and the anthem was on so would have been 8:25\. Rediculous really along with rabs every origin saying young woods the wests tigers captain takes a hit up. Also with tigers games that Dene Halatua is a surviving member of '05 GF.

Cmon Yoss , even if you got the calls NSW wouldn't know what to do with the ball

To steal Sam Thaiday's theme it was like watching a virgin fumbling around with his first time girl

No idea what they were doing most the time

I love the movie Field of Dreams as much as the next person AHX but I don't see the relevance at all
