Stefano Utoikamanu #241

Time . He moved it out of the offseason and into the mid season , forcing a resolution one way or the other . I’m assuming Richo has some players in the hook , to replace him . I don’t know who , but there was rumours of a gun prop in England . So maybe that bloke whoever they are .
Yes but aren’t we better off waiting until the off season? As there won’t be much money spare around clubs!!

Offer him 2 years, that will give him enough time to assess how much on the up we are…if we are still a rabble of a club, then he can to to a top club in 2027…still at his peak..

We only want players committed to the vision. We are on the rise & must play hard ball . He must be able to see the roster next year is impressive . The only reason he was not considered for SOS was his own form. Shape up or ship out.
I can't wrap my head around the clause for him to play x amount of Origin games to activate the extension. It's his form that determines if he played origin.

True, though I think the point being he's still only running the ball forward, he's not ball playing.
I see his point about Api being very crafty, but I think it’s over simplifying it. Footy is so much more enjoyable when you’re winning. Gordy knows that.

had a look on Tackle Zero and both Leo Thompson Thomas Hazelton are available for 2025 I would be going for at least one if I were the tigers if stef leaves

I would prefer either of them over Hunt or other gap fillers being mentioned here.

We are playing a long game as such need to be very very smart & right fit top 17 squad members we pickup moving forward rather than just go after short term snatch grab style.

We all know this goes on and nothing is ever done about it. The NRL can't police it anyway. Has anyone ever been punished or fined for this stuff? Or are we to believe it has never occurred.

Incentivising or not, it's up to the club that holds the contract if they want to release the player.

The finer details or what is and isn't permitted doesn't matter when it's not illegal for 2 people to talk privately over coffee.
I would argue that any type of discussion about a future contract potentially incentivises the player to break an existing contract, therefore if that is the the description in the current CBA (that you cannot incentivise or encourage a contract to be broken) then it's pointless unpoliceable and unenforceable unless ZERO contact is permitted from other clubs.
