This is just romanticism from an emotionally invested supporter. He’s been training with them since last November. And whether you love or hate him, he’s earned where he is. It’s one thing to criticise Galvin who walked into a club mid season who was on top of the ladder. Stef had the entire off season. And I’m supposed to be angry cos he didn’t want to stay and finish 13th?
that comment by Parker has just about made melbourne a shoe in on Sunday.

Comments like this tend to come back and bite people on the backside...
I'm getting oldAs stupid as Gibbs after 2005.
Hoping he is the Broncos pinnate.
Who is telling you to be angry? Are they in the room with you right now? This is just romanticism from an emotionally invested supporter. He’s been training with them since last November. Ah the old good old MH insult.Who is telling you to be angry? Are they in the room with you right now?
Yes, Benji light years away from Bellamy in extracting the best from forwards. I always knew that Stef would improve down south, they don’t buy many failures and if they have weaknesses they zero in on them. It’s a tried and trusted system that’s delivered 22/23 finals appearances and 11/23 GFs under Bellamy.Stefano just needed the right coach.
Bit like May and Pole - Stefano isn’t a long running forward his frame is impact which is effective.
This is year 1 for him it normally takes 18mths for forwards in the Storm system to hit their straps. Stefano though has hit form at the right time.
Congrats to him. He backed himself, got paid & benefits heaps better than he was going to get here plus is a real shot of getting a ring.
Its Bellamy s way or the highway. The majority of the team is blessed with a very simple task to performYes, Benji light years away from Bellamy in extracting the best from forwards. Hard to argue with those sort of numbers.
Your middle paragraph sums it up for me.Yep its just a bit meh.
He could of toughed it out on good money at the Tigers in the hope of turning it around, instead he has walked into the prem favourites this year. I don't really care for him, but I also don't hold it against him.
I honestly don't think ice and stef had what it took to lead us off the bottom anyway. Talent, yes, attitide, no.
Galvin is a different story to the above.
An accurate assessment, and exceedingly true when considering the short length of a players career. When Stefano came to Tigers he said he was playing for his brother who had a severe neck injury during a game, confining him to a wheelchair.Majority of players would fear finishing their careers without a GF win. The NRL is not a level playing field and certain clubs have the ability to attract players be it through 3rd party deal loophole in the salary cap or because of the coach’s credentials or club’s history/chances of winning a GF.
Stefano, Galvin and many that have left our club and other struggling clubs have done so because they believe they have a better chance elsewhere. Only way to keep players is for us to improve as a club on and off the field.
Pascoe and the fedora in recent past, the club owners board squabbling and the coaching merry go round set us back. We have taken a few steps forward but have a long way to go before players fell like they have a chance of winning the gf at wt and are willing stay for a little less or leave other clubs to come to us.
Actually...heres hoping he does!!He was great in both their semi finals.
First time in his career I’ve sat back, rubbed my chin and thought, OK, so now I get the hype 🤔
Good luck to him on Sunday - here’s hoping he doesn’t become just another Payne Haas speed bump
