Maybe if the 2 incompetent Western Suburbs factions could come to a common purpose things may improve - but the truth is that it is Wests Magpies who manage the Macarthur region poorly due to internal personality conflicts!

Why have we Balmain members had to deal with the Magpies innate stupidity, threats of break-aways & unprofessionalism over the last 11 years???? If you say money - you are right - that is all!!

All the Magpies Board have ahead of them is redundancy!

$7 a game for the season - I am in Marketing with a large Bank and if I had a product like we did and we were giving it away at that price I would be fired. The Tigers games and membership is worth more and we can get more. I actually thought the memberships this yr and all the different options were reasonably priced.

A number of areas they can improve on like any club but we seem to be doing better and better each year.

Key areas for mine to improve is getting the payment plans set up earlier and promoted better - for example a Pinnacle Membership is only 20 a week if someone can pay over the whole year - Imagine how many of them you could sell if promoted as $20/ week. All clubs though not just the tigers could do this better.

I agree that it would be great to have our products out for Christmas with the new Jerseys but sponsors for some teams are locked in some years and not others - The dogs for example didn't have a sponsor till round 2 a couple of years ago.

The use of Westst Tigers Colours and Branding and moving away from the Magpies and Balmain branding this year is a great inative and something Humphreys needs to say at every opportunity - the children supporting the team only think of themselves as Wests Tigers Fans and the adults (who seem generally to be more childish about then the children) need to do the same. I would think that eventually we need to re-badge all the leagues clubs as Wests Tigers as well- we need to move from a joint venture to one club because in 20 years all the Wests and Balmain Supporters will be gone and we will only have Wests Tigers Supporters.

Humphreys is doing a fantastic job but like every business we have more to work on but the key of increasing revenue seems to be going great

The misuse of the Macarthur reason is cause for concern. WT's should not leave it to the Maggies to sort out. That’s a cop out if you ask me and they need to take responsibility. WT's need to actively engage themselves with this junior nursery to ensure our "pathway for success" is maintained.
All the ponytailed Ferrari driving marketing types can carry on about "branding" and "going global" but if we don’t look after the region we won’t have a “brand” to support. The Rorters are already sniffing around and other’s we come sniffing around as well

Great post boonboon.

All this discussion and debate re the merits or otherwise about Campbelltown, the Macarthur region, branding, area retention, support to our junior leagues etc etc should better be placed in front of Humphreys direct via e-mail, by anyone who wants direct answers.

Then there is no doubt about the WT plans going forward, who's right, who's wrong etc etc.

seems like a lot more black and white in the new one. Yet there is a similarity in the sharpness and angle of the stripes.

In the end how much can you really alter a design and not retain a classic look

After looking at the new jersey for some time i believe it is a new direction and it still has the tradition there as well..I also like the magpie on the sleeves as this gives the jersey a uniqueness that other jersey haven't.There has to be orange somewhere how anyone could say that the new one looks Balmain I don't see that at all.And moving on from the petty infighting is definatly on within a decade the Tigers will be totally stand alone ….all the infighting is only prolonging the inevitable the Brand is Weststigers the area that they will service is AUSTRALIA country wide.

Now back on topic of Mr Humphreys...despite BUG'S bemoaning it appears to me that he is MEDIA savvy, CORPORATE savvy, has an excellent relationship with Chief Muppet Gallop (Lortay's contract) and is MEMBER/SUPPORTER savvy...

It's is an extremely difficult task to run CAMP CONCORD..the last couple of pages of this thread for those less familiar with the marriage of the WESTS Magpies and Balmain Tigers is evidence of that..

I knew Noyce and I believe that in Mr Humphreys we have a CEO that can deliver on 'THE PROMISE' Noycie made after the 2005 Grand Final win..

Yeah Bug ,but in those days of the 80's you had to play first grade to get the chicks.Humpster was a reseve grader so he would have needed all "the gift of the gab".
I can see the club going forward with his recruitment as can be seen by some of our signings of late.
